Bottle looks good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts strong, fine spicy, modest sweet. Some woody notes. Finish a bit drier, still strong and wheaty-spicy. Nice!

MoritzF (8493) - Bochum, GERMANY - JAN 31, 2012
(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a blond and fluffy foamy head. Moderately sweet and bready malty aroma with present grassy and herbal hoppy notes. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Slightly bready malty taste with grassy and slightly herbal accents from the beginning, turning into a bitter sweet and bitter slightly grassy hoppy finish. Not overly complex nor exciting and definitely not identical to the toasty Drachenblut. 17.XII.11

500ml bottle (Zimbus Drachenblut). Clear amber with huge creamy white head. Earthy grain aroma, bread and hay, some bitter hop. Soft palate, monotonous slightly sweet malt taste with a sparkling interlude and a simple fade out instead of a real finish.

Hopfenwürziger Geruch mit inigen Metallspuren. Ziemlich kräftig-würziger Antrunk. Mittelteil malziger und würzig. Starkwürziger, beinahe salziger und moderat bitterer Abgang. Sehr solide.

EithCubes (4890) - New Jersey, USA - DEC 26, 2011
Bottle by 07.06.12. Nose is too-sweet simple malt with some honey accents. Clear golden body with a fizzy beige head. Taste is bittersweet, crisp and cracking, but with a touch of booze showing, faint flora/noble hops and citrus that can’t quite cut to the top. Grains are there behind the light body, but needs a little more masculinity.

Bov (9492) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - DEC 11, 2011
courtesy of Philipp and Thomas; labelled Zimbus Drachenblut - clear ruby-brown beer with a long lasting creamy beige foam; nice lace; aroma of malt and carrots; sweet and quite full-bodied, low bitterness and a long malty and flowery finish with tart earthy notes

(bottle) pours a clear golden colour with an unstable frothy white head. aroma of citrus fruits, cinnamon and dandelions, very herbal, with a hint of grain. flavour is mostly the same, with a spicy hoppiness similar to their kellerbier, light notes of barnyard and a minerally finish. medium-bodied with average carbonation.

Test vom 27.8.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,10,10,11,-,11 - 10,57
