draft at St Georgen Brau in Buttenheim
typical clear gold / stiff white head appearance. lightly pasty and powdery aroma and flavor with noticeable huskiness and touches of corn kernel. medium-heavy pale malt sweetness and minimal hop aromatics or bitterness, it fits in nicely to Helles, though it seems a bit muted (and "stale"), giving off aromas and late flavors of drywall and notebook paper, do go with that grain husk harshness across the palate.

Tap @ the Keller in Buttenheim. Golden appearance with a white head that has good retention. Hay loft, a bit dusty, yeasty, grainy aroma. A touch tangy, herbal/floral hoppy, a little grainy flavor. Pretty high carbonation.

Half litre bottle. Poured a small thin head, golden colour, not many bubbles, clear. Hoppy aroma, detected some Fuggles/Goldings plus what might have been Spalt/Saaz?. Tasted fruity, had a balanced hoppy bitterness. Medium body, moderate carbonation, texture not smooth or coarse. Overall a well made, balanced refreshing beer, seemed to lose some of it’s Aroma and Taste in the middle, but regained it.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Starts mild, almost a bit washy. More and more spicy, modest sweet, some buttery notes. Finish well balanced, still very mild. Not bad.

500ml bottle. Clear pale orange to golden colour with small, frothy, quickly fading white head. Earthy bread aroma, some bitter hop. Monotonous slightly dry, but essentially sweet caramel malt taste. Simply fading, leaving an almost soapy mouthfeel behind.
