COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We brew the strongly hopped Keller Bier traditionally according to an age-old recipe and then let it mature unbunged in deep vaults. Naturally cloudy; with bottom-fermenting yeast rich in vitamins, this very drinkable beer is frequently enjoyed out of a stein.

Pours a clear, amber-bronze color with a small head, collapsing to a small sheet of lacing. Offers a mix of coppery malts, walnut shell and lighter earth. A tart whiff completes the aromas, focussing entirely on its whole grain maltiness in an enjoyable complex way. Has a medium carbonation, while drinking very smooth, due to a softening coalition between profound malts and a silk aqueous quality, complimenting the malts truly well. Tastes of earth coated, old orange peel among rich, bright malts, signified by nutshells, young, scented earth and wild honey, opening the palate to a subtle fruitiness. A coppery note accentuates this foundation surprisingly well, without shifting the focus on itself, instead a blend of more earth and slightly sweetened toffee adds an additional layer to the taste. Finishes with a nice dryness among toffee and a gentle minerality. Great beer, convinces by its perfectly put together complexity, while remaining easy drinkable.

0.5 l bottle from ’De Bierkoning’, best before June 2016. Clear, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, tan to white head. Sweetish-malty, faint grassy-hoppy aroma of hay, sweet bread and some citrus with hints of caramel and yeast. Sweetish-malty taste of hay, caramel, nuts and some bread, followed by a medium long, slightly to medium bitter, sweetish-grassy finish. Thin to medium body, very smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Superbly drinkable, well-balanced and absolutely round. Very decent stuff!

Bottle shared outside the brewery on day 2 of the Bamberg Jolly of January 2014. Pours perfectly clear, rich gold with a bubbly white head. Lovely beer, with good bready character, light grassy and herbal bitterness, crunchy cereal, even some hints of citrus. Light bodied with average carbonation. Very crisp on the finish, with more pleasant bread, cereal. Excellent lager. Just completely drinkable and enjoyable.
