Commercial Description:
We brew the strongly hopped Keller Bier traditionally according to an age-old recipe and then let it mature unbunged in deep vaults. Naturally cloudy; with bottom-fermenting yeast rich in vitamins, this very drinkable beer is frequently enjoyed out of a stein.

Dark dunkel style beer that is very malty. It reminds me a little of Stiner Bock. This is not an extremely complex beer, but it does satsify those who enjoy a malty style cold beverage!

Bottle, a wantlister from shigadeyo: third keller style; Nose of yeast, dark bread, and malt; clear copper with a medium beige head; flavor of grain, caramel, and a small amount of hop bitterness. Tongue tickling mouthfeel! Good Keller bier!

A Mes rate: Cask from ’Spoons @ Baker Street. Typically German, bready and malty with just a lick of hops to sort it out. Actually not bad.

Bottle bought at Bottleworks. A balanced lager and although hoppy leans a little to the bread-y side. Page 394 of Michael Jackson’s Great Beer Guide and only 270 of his 500 Classic Brews to go.

Thanks to The_Beer_God for sending me this beer many months ago. The beer had been hiding in the back of my frig.

Poured a beautiful amber/copper body and a two finger head. The aroma presented sweet honey and caramel like malts. The malty sweetness is what mainly crept in, however there was a nice grassy herbal hoppyness on the finish. Overall, a nice beer to accompany a meal, straightforward and enjoyable.

Amber beer with a frothy white head. Caramel, grain, grass and fresh hops aroma. Rich sweet flavour with a distinct bitterness at the finish. Pleasant soft mouthfeel. Lasting bready aftertaste.

Bottle courtesy of fordest. Pours clear amber with a small fizzy white head, mostly diminishing, spare head. Aroma is average malt (grain, roasted, meal), light hops (celery), average yeast (sweat) with notes of butter and vegetable. Light bodied, mineral texture, average carbonation and a metallic finish. Long duration, light sweetness and acidity, moderate bitterness; sour milk flavor.

Hazy amber pour with a thin offwhite head. Good aroma of hops, yeast and tart fruits. Good flavor of hops, yeast and tart fruits with a dry finish. The body is light and the carbonation is soft. I haven’t sampled a lot of keller biers but I like this one.
