Dark red with a medium beige head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, caramel and hints of bread. Sweet flavour with caramel and grassy hops and chocolate notes. Finished sweet though the grassy bitterness kicked in nicely.

Draught@Eulenspiegel. Very deep amber colour, big white foamy/creamy head. Aroma is a bit spicy, malty, as well as wooden and hoppy. Flavour is wooden, a bit herbal and spices and has a rather strong malty body. Rather fullbodied and refreshing.

Jul 6, Bottled, Amber-Ruby clear colour, malted light roasted aroma, light body, softy, bitter taste with hints of spice notes. Bitter-chocolate finsih with fresh minty-hops background. Special nutty aroma and taste typical for all St.Georgen-Bräu products. More likely Good mix Franken/Munich Dunkel lager than charaktreistic Altfrankisch Dunkel

Bottled at Eulenspiegel, Bamberg, 500ml. Amber with white head. Simple light bodied beer with a pleasant hoppiness throughout. Dry and bitter, this is pretty tasty with a husky, nutty background. Enjoyable.

It’s a very dark amber color and the head is huge and lasting. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, caramel and a hint of nuts. The flavour has notes of roasted malt, caramel, a bit of licorice, a hint of nuts and a light bitterness in the finish. It’s a really ice dunkel. 2260

A Sim rate (Bottle at Bier Circus): Wheaty green grape aroma. Mix of various cereals like Cheerios. Smells like honeysuckle and other various flowers. Sage? Flavour not quite as complex as the aroma. Sudden finish and it’s all over. Not as heavy as you’d expect from a dunkel. Some of the flavours, none of the chunk.
