3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Grima (1864) - Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - FEB 8, 2012
Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!
Wirkt wirklich sehr ausgewogen.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 diabel (1584) - Aarschot, BELGIUM - NOV 14, 2011
Clear black-mahoney body. Aroma of grapes, alcohol, malts: not very well balanced. Lightly bitter, moderately sweet flavour: bit hops: mainly malts (somewhere between cara and chocolate). Not bad, but not nice.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Benjii (3049) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 4, 2011
Shared this bottle at The Brauhaus. A brown colour with a thin light tan head. Big malty Weetabix aroma with some caramel and candy sugar. Flavours of Weetabix, chewy caramel and lingering malt. A little sweet with toffee, treacle and candy sugar notes. Nice choice when Paul ordered a sweet German beer.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Koelschtrinker (8493) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 6, 2011
Malziger, in Teilen süßer Antrunk. 7/9/9/8/12/9

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 ogreface (1089) - Budapest, HUNGARY - DEC 23, 2010
Utóíze keserédes, medvecukros, hosszú időre kiszárítja a szánkat. Kellemes téli söröcske, melengető, zsibbasztó és elég kiegyensúlyozott.

0,5 l bottle, called St. Georgen Brau Doppelbock dunkel, bought at Sörspecialista.hu, Budapest.
Clear, deep brown beer with a small lacing off white-tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, candy sugar and toasted caramel, some raisins and plum, licorice, herbal hops. Oily consistance with caramel and roasted malt, raisins and dried fruits, some mild cocoa-chocolate, herbal hops in the finish. Bittersweet aftertaste.
