I can remember drinking this brew years ago; it was very popular at one time. I remembered how much I enjoyed it. Well, after tasting it again recently, not so much. I donít know if the recipe has changed, but overall it lost some flavor.

aroma, berries, fake thought like kool aid color, reddish purple no head taste, sour fruit, and sweet too, really not too bad, but hits the tummy in the end, always upset my stomach overall, cheap and somewhat tasty, but Ill get your stomach injestion.

Sampled from a clear bottle this drink poured a red-violet color with a trace soapy white head that faded almost instantly and left no lacing. The aroma was light sweet berries and not much else. The flavor was tangy and lightly tart sweet vague berries. There was an odd cardboard like undertone. Medium finish. Light body. Not bad.

That purpl drank. Purple color, some sediment. Aroma is berries. Taste is berries, better then many of the fruit beers on the site. Cherry Wheat has nothing on St Ides purple.

Has a nice deep red color but thatís the only redeeming quality...smells like cough medicine and tastes of that, sugar, and grain alcohol...revolting stuff, and to think the kiwi-strawberry wasnít that bad

has a berry aroma to it, and kinda a fruity berry flavor to it. Not sure how it is classified as a beer, but it wasn’t all that bad.

Pure sugar but the ladies would drink them by the gallon when we were younger. Lightweight fruity status.

Bomber bottle from Root Cellar. Poured clear grape color with a medium frothy white head that diminshed quickly with minimal lacing. Light fruit & grain aroma. Light to medium body and lively carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a light grainy sweet finish of short duration. Cold wet alcohol with an infused fruit juice character.

This "Malt Liquor" is more like carbonated Cisco. Basically a wine cooler with a little more kick. Not bad for what it is, but I wonít be having it ever, ever again. Spiked fruit punch, in essence. Spiked with cheap rotgut grain alcohol, that is.

i ddinít think this was a beer until i saw this one the website, actually lemon lime is the best flavor, but it is not listed here, the fact is this was a good change of pace from the 40ís old E and St. Ides, but yeah after 2-3 of these your stomach will hate you, very sweet and pretty reasonable if you limit yourself to half a bottle
