COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned.
On the basis of ancestral recipes, this relatively light blonde, remains faithful to the principles of the monks who populated the old abbey of Belgian. It refreshes intelligently, and will charm the thirst in hot weather.

Bottle: Poured hazy amber with a thin white head. The aroma was hoppy floral. The flavor was floral and slightly bitter. The best part was this being served in a ceramic bowl.

Pours a clear golden color with small floaties in it and a thick, rocky white head. The aroma is mostly about the yeast, there are also fruits that were detected. The flavor is a bit underwhelming, there’s yeast, fruits and spices but it doesn’t feel too exciting and entertaining. The body is light to medium with a creamy texture and lively carbonation. As with a lot of this breweries’ beers, it’s a decent belgian beer but not interesting enough to want to buy it again.

Bottled. It is a bit unclear, with sediments floating in the golden body with a big, white head. Fruity aroma with banana, hints of citrus, some spices, tea, apple and some yeast. Fruity and lightly spiced flavor with spices, some cellar and some alcohol. Medium to full mouthfeel with some sweet stickyness. It has some metallic notes as well. A nice, yet a bid mediocre blond. Plenty of orange-tangerine-citrus in the doughy, yeasty nose along with a light spiciness. Clear, deep golden coloured body with plenty of tiny little bubbles that keep the fizzy head from diminishing beyond a partial cover. Doughy yeast with strong citrus and banana fruitiness. Decent bitterness with a hint of alcohol in the finish. Strong carbonation that is a bit aggressive over a medium body that is a bit slick in texture. Snifter. Cellar temperature. Bottle (BB Sep-08, Bièropholie, Aug-06).

(33cl bottle) Bieropholie Private Import. Pours a large, frothy yellowish head and a clear golden body. Nose of cinnamon spice, caramel malt and somewhat yeasty. The flavour follows with a roasty elixir and a tad doughy. I cannot say that this was anything special.

Hazy yellow gold hue, with a frothy white head, leaving laces, yeasty nose, with some ripe apples fruitiness, bready dough, hint of cinnamon spiciness, sweet pale malt in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a some sweet pale malts, toasted malts too, a toffeeish accent, hint of spicy cinnamon, bready dough, leading towards a mild alcoholic warmth, and a faint hops bitterness finish.

Glouglouburp (5944) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 20, 2006
Slightly clouded golden-blonde, some particules, small long-lasting white head. Light forestry smell with tree leaves and birch. Taste is fruity (red and green apples) with some tartness and sourness. Aggressive carbonation. Very short finish. Not very Belgian as far as the style is concerned and not very interesting. St-Idesbland is more meaningful.
