(Bottle 33 cl) He’s back!!! The cute, little, fat, beer-drinking monk on the St. Idesbald labels. Golden, rather light in body, sweetish, pleasant and very easy to drink. The kind of beer that wouldn’t offend even the typical pils-drinker. Only here you get something a lot more interesting. 070996

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On the basis of ancestral recipes, this relatively light blonde, remains faithful to the principles of the monks who populated the old abbey of Belgian. It refreshes intelligently, and will charm the thirst in hot weather.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle @ home. Aroma is fruity esters, some light hop notes, light metallic yeasty note and quite some spices/herbs. Flavour is very spicy almost minty, some malt sweetness and faint hop, but mostly spices. Too much imho.

Cerveja estilo abadia sem muita expressão. Boa formação de espuma e boa retenção. Amargor e sabor de malte levemente adocicado.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Light misty body with off white bubbly head, looks okay. Simplistic malt bill, some caramel, honey and pie. Not much character, not much yeast power and certainly very full little hop. Sweet body, average bubbly mouthful, simplistic, okay but forgettable. (33cl bottle from Cave Gambrinus)

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Blonde dorée, pétillance moyenne, mousse tombe rapidement. Métallique, toute en malts doux avec une petite amertume de passage ainsi que quelques notes fruitées et épicées. Assez (si pas trop) sèche.
