SilkTork (3853), Rochester, Kent, England Jun 18, 2007 330ml bottle from BeersofEurope. Strong pale ale with spicy notes. Chalky dry texture, yet with malty sweet flavours. Holds together well. Quite gentle for such a strong beer. The strength adds warmth rather than aggression. Attractive fruit notes - clean, almost citric. A rather pleasant experience.
Borresteijn (427), Amstelveen, Netherlands Aug 11, 2008 Bottle @ Café Gollem. Hazy golden/orange colour, big white head. Aroma of sugar, malts, fruits and alcohol. Taste is fruity, sweet and malty, some spice. Lots of carbonation. Good one if you’re into something sweet. foodtraveller (26), Belgium Jul 20, 2008 Good beer with haze color. Taste on the fruity side with sour, hop and some bitterness. Good carbonation. Not bad but not a top beer. BoBoChamp (618), Gent, Belgium Jul 20, 2008 33cl, from De Hopduvel Gent, complex brew, hazy, good head, good brew, but not a topper jgb9348 (1811), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA Apr 10, 2008 Nice slightly hazy golden orange coloured body with a very thin white head. Aroma of yeast, wheat, coriander seed, honey, fresh flowers, curacao and even a touch of caramel. Full-bodied; Sweet robust flavour of the yeast and wheat, coupled with the sugars. Aftertaste shows some mild fruits, strong alcohol and more of the yeast and coriander seed. Overall, a good potent tripel with some mild fruity flavours and some other complexities not usually seen in the style brewed in America. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Le Bier Tempel in Bruxelles, Belgium on 09-April-2008. sk8viking (6078), Copenhagen, Denmark Mar 10, 2008 Bottle. A deep golden beer with a big white head.
