Bottle conditioned.
Rich golden colour, fruity aroma and a soft, sweet maltiness. Lively mouthfeel with a finish reminiscent of brut champagne. Brewed under license of the Duinen Monastery by the family owned Huyghe-Melle Brewery.

Nice golden, hazy color. Bitter and metallic taste. Quite unlike the other tripels I've tasted.

Boring and bland triple overall. Not much of a spice and lacks an overall zesty citrus taste. But regardless a nice warm boozy triple with toasted wheat malts

Not the best tripel I’ve had, but not the worst either. They went a little overboard on the yeast, and the breadiness overwhelms the fruit. Dry toward the end.

Pours muddy pale brown. Not intensive aroma but otherwise it’s yeasty and a bit fruity. Taste is a bit sweet and sour with spicy, bitter, astringent afterpath. Middle body, pleasant mouthfeel. Overall drinkable beer not to remember.

Tall brown 33cl bottle, best before Dec 2010, drank Jun 2010. Poured into a Westmalle chalice. The sediment leaped out of the bottle, so the appearance reflects that point. Meaning the body was full of floating particles, which took their time to settle down. The light amber/orange body had a white bubbled head at the start, soon to be a thin covering. Very little aroma for a Belgian beer, some yeast esters if you search hard enough, otherwise nothing. As it warmed a sweet, fruity smell started to come through, but too little, too late. The taste was as weak as the smell, the alcohol was detectable from the first sip (always a bad sign in my view) because the brew had no real flavours to hide it. It may well look good in the bottle packaging, but the actual beer is not so great. This is the worst Belgian Tripel I can remember ever having!
