3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle… Pours clear and toasted orange in color with a small, creamy, off-white head. Excellent retention. The nose presents dark Karo syrup, brown sugar, toasted nuts and butter – in other words, pecan pie – with a more subdued perfumey and floral hop component. Medium-bodied and lightly creamy with airy carbonation. The flavor tilts toward the bitter side of balance. Citrusy and tannic with a nice caramel malt aspect. Not at all sweet. Coarse, medium bitter, Sahara-dry finish.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Sweet, slightly diacetyl APA aroma - not strongly hoppy or fruity, just middle of the road. Clear, bright, bronzy-maple color without much head. Bad label on a standard US longneck twistoff. Prominent vanilla, a mid-tongue citrus pith bittering, lightly sweet. Medium body. Orange peel and alcohol bitter finish. I can definitely believe that this is brewed by Shipyard - it has all the hallmarks. Liquor Loft.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Tallahassee, Fl - Liquor Loft - 12 oz bottle. Dark copper pour, off white sticky heady that leaves nice lacing. Aroma leaves a bit to be desired - some phenols, but basically neutral. Flavor is a notch in quality above the aroma. Some faint citrus notes, cake mix sweetness and a little bit of nuttiness. Mouthfeel is on the spritzy side. Home won’t receiving a letter about this one, but does in a pinch.

Fragrant floral citrus hop aroma.

Not a bad IPA, and certainly a find if you happen to be in Saint John’s!
