COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA is bright copper in color with a wonderful citrusy hop aroma. Island Hoppin has a great malty body that pairs well with the dry hoppy finish. IBU’s 50, Warrior, Cascade, Willamette.

Tallahassee, Fl - Liquor Loft - 12 oz bottle. Dark copper pour, off white sticky heady that leaves nice lacing. Aroma leaves a bit to be desired - some phenols, but basically neutral. Flavor is a notch in quality above the aroma. Some faint citrus notes, cake mix sweetness and a little bit of nuttiness. Mouthfeel is on the spritzy side. Home won’t receiving a letter about this one, but does in a pinch.

Clear amber/orange body that produces an average-sized white head. Fragrant floral citrus hop aroma. Moderately bitter flavor. Not a bad IPA, and certainly a find if you happen to be in Saint John’s!

1/27/11. 12oz bottle. Slightly hazy orange/amber pour with a small khaki head that fades fast. Light malty aroma with hints of grapefruit peel and some sort of papery oddness... bitter, buttery, metallic disgusting flavor. This is like somebody’s first horrid batch of homebrew... only this time some idiot decided to bottle and sell it.

Once again, another beer that you have to be out on a tropical ocean/beach to appreciate--so props again w/that in mind (lacking in boldness in flavor). However, just too weak for my liking. A sorry excuse for the IPA style, but there are worse. Weak nose, not much hop bite to be found, but not offensive in flavor.

Light amber coloured body like cream soda with a thin tan head and a bunch of bubbles rising from the bottom and sides. Aroma of hops, guava, pineapple, caramel, corn and a bit of sugar - odd indeed. Light-bodied; Hoppy taste of herbal and grassy hops with a resiny touch and a light bit of tropical fruits later, the beer envelops to a malty, almost oaky dryness. Aftertaste is subtle but efficient - hops definitely make the most of the taste with some light sweetness offsetting the hops a touch. Overall, a less than stellar IPA, but one that was better than I was expected and frankly, one that is better than some others by places you’d expect to have better beers. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in St. Petersburg, Florida on 13-November-2010, sampled in New Paltz, New York on 20-November-2010.

Pours a five-fingered white rocky head that slowly fades to a thin layer leaving a good lace. Crystal clear amber color. Medium carbonation and medium bodied. Grapefruit hop nose. Flavor is mostly grapefruit hops, some caramel, lingering grapefruit finish. $2.00 for a 12 oz bottle from Barb’s Beer Emporium Concord, NH.
