COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA is bright copper in color with a wonderful citrusy hop aroma. Island Hoppin has a great malty body that pairs well with the dry hoppy finish. IBU’s 50, Warrior, Cascade, Willamette.

From notes: pours a hazy orange-amber with a one-finger white head. Aroma was mild citrusy hops. Medium-bodied. Taste was of citrusy hops, but again mild. I might agree with a previous reviewer who suggested that it’s better classified as a pale ale, as neither the aroma or taste is sharp enough to make me think IPA. Nondescript, but by no means bad.

Bottle. Moderate malt notes of nutty and caramel, light to moderate orange for the hops, light dough for the yeast, with hints of wood, nutmeg and faint dried dark fruit. Head is large, frothy, off-white to light beige, with fair lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is slightly hazy yet sparkling amber/orange. Flavor starts lightly sweet and lightly to moderately acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and a long moderate to heavy bitter taste. Palate is medium, slick with a lively carbonation and a very woody/dry aftertaste. Though not very complex this IPA does have some good qualities in the aroma, but I think it’s better classified as a Pale Ale.

Beautiful amber coil, bright; the head is small. It has a generic hop aroma, with a mild earthy touch. The body is quite weak and the mouthfeel dry; dark toffee flavor, with a strong but rather purposeless bitterness. Easy, but not bad.

On Tap at The Tap Room. Extra points for being in the prettiest setting.....St. John US Virgin Islands! For me, this was the clear winner of their brews. Light orange with a thick foamy head. Citrus hoppy aroma with a really fresh hop profile, more towards an APA but well balanced with enough hops to keep it interesting.
