COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The inspiration for Virgin Islands Pale Ale came when the beer’s creators, Kevin Chipman and Chirag ’Cheech’ Vyas, began home brewing on the island of St. John. Unsatisfied with the choices of mass produced, bland, watered down beer, the two set out to brew ales that had smoother flavors and a distinct hop finish. After brewing several batches of quality American and European style beers they developed a recipe that captured the essence and taste of the Caribbean. The finished brew, a light ale with a subtle exotic fruit nose and mild hop finish, is the ideal flavor for our tropical climate. Virgin Islands Pale Ale was born. Having created a perfect island ale recipe, the two would like to share their new brew with the Virgin Islands and its visitors. Whether you are enjoying a sunset, celebrating an island happy hour, or having a relaxing dinner, Virgin Islands Pale Ale is the refreshing beer to enjoy any moment.

Nice, but not so fruity. Fine aroma and cloudy features, Not much to say about it but was drinkable.

On tap. Pours a very clear, light amber color with a small off white, fluffy head. Fruity aroma of apricot, slight mango, with some caramel malt. Very light in flavor. Slight bitter hoppiness, with a very faint aftertaste of mango.

I’m not sure what I was thinking when I bought this. Smells like medicine and tastes like it’s been left in the sun too long. Pass.

Rising carbonation bubbles in a light yellow body, lots of lace. Very artificial aroma. Artificial tasting bubble gum candy. Beer at the pool in place of a soft drink. Smooth mouthfeel but marginally drinkable. Too sweet. Thanks for sharing Josh.

Not sure how well done this is. The mango is there a little in aroma. Almost like a juice box aroma. Dies quickly, only a little bitterness, some sourness. Pours blond with only a little lacing. No real sense of a pale ale in this. They need to up the hops in this or something to balance it out. Average carbonation. On tap at Taberna Lupulo.

From a 12 oz bottle served in a pint cannibg jar in key largo FL. Pours a clear pale amber with a feint head. Mango in the nose. Mango in the flavor, with some bubblegum notes. A margueritaville fantasy. But not a serious beer.

Serving: Draft at the brewpub and in 12 oz. bottles. It pours a nice gold color with a small white head. The nose is all mango. The flavor is heavy on the mango with light tropical fruit notes and a slight bitterness. A bit of graininess emerges as the beer warms. This one is really all about the mango with the rest of the beer serving as more of a backdrop. Not terrible per se, but not my cup of tea. Too much mango, not enough beer.

aroma is definitely mango, no question about that. pours apple juice colored with a fizzy dissipating head like soda. flavor is mango, with some pineapple and ginger. has a cheap hop twang on the palette, sharp and bright. honestly better than i thought it was going to be, for what its worth.
