A red beer with a disappearing off-white head. The aroma is strong of black currant, and so is the flavor.

Deep red colored with a thick red head. Mild sweet blackcurrant nose, like blackcurrant syrup. Heavy blackcurrant flavor with a minimal sourness. Not very lambic-like, more like a fruit beer. Reminds me of sweets. Still tasty and refreshing.

Deep red color with a pink head. Very strong black currant aroma. The taste is a very sweet and very strong black currant body.

Strong aroma of black currant. Really dark red/purple colour. Small head. Nice sourness combined with the sweetness of berries. Strong finish and aftertaste. Fruity. Great.

It actually tastes quite good even though it is not 100% lambic. Fairly natural black currant aroma and flavour with some pleasant sourness in the flavour. Not too sweet. Refreshing.

Dense, cyclamen-red head, slightly irregular on deep garnet beer. Sweet expressly fruitnose, unmistakably blackcurrant, jam-like, but not artificial smelling (apart from a bit of gas-like aroma). Surprisingly tart, fruit-acid taste, blackcurrant & blueberry. No horseblanket, but background of lactobacillus-like esters and acids. Nice. Light to medium bodied, very refreshing; long tart aftertaste, dry-out effect. This IS a major surprise. It has nothing to do with lambic, but then neither has Bitter End Sour Prick. This one is really a good one to wean the young and unthoughtful from the breezers.

UPDATED: AUG 14, 2004 Bottle from The Wine Company, Slough. Bottled. Ok.. so this was interesting. As others have said, it tasted very much like fruit juice, hardly anything ’beer’ going on. What it has going for it is that its not over-sweet, and retains a little lambic like sourness. So to a certain extent this is not much more than an alcopop, but of course better than an alcopop.

Deep red body topped by medium pink-tan head. Aroma is sweet, strong currant, with just a hint of sourness. Taste is what I imagine currant juice would taste like, with mild carbonation. It's good for what it is, but it seems much more like a juice than a beer.

Deep dark red color, small pink head. Sweetish blackcurrant juice aroma. Flavor is quite sweet and sour. No taste of alcohol, just like a juice with sugar. Carbonated palate. I don't count this as a beer, but it tastes fine as a juice. Might be good for flu when heated up.
