On tap. Obviously a lambic, had a sweet raspberry aroma and taste with some tart. Dark red with a light red/white head. Made it about halfway through the drink before it became too sweet.

On Tap at Brasserie Beck, Washington DC; April 2010
Total=4.0, 8/4/8/4/16
Having just finished my meal, and completely unsolicited, the waiter brought me a couple beers to sample that had been pulled from the tap list. This one was actually a great way to end the meal. The raspberry character is dominant, but manages to taste of real, if still sweetened, fruit that is decadent without being heavy. This really can pair quite well with the right, time, place and meal; and this has done just that here, low in alcohol, and a sweetened, big, real fruit flavor that works great as a dessert. Surprisingly I find myself enjoying this much more than I would ever have expected to; I would give this a solid 4.0/4.2 for this particular moment in time.
On Tap at 1702, Tucson, April 2010
Total=3.1, 6/4/6/4/11
The beer arrives from the tap with a hazy plum color and is topped by a wispy, ring of a pale hued head. The aroma smells sweet, with a pulpy raspberry fruitiness, a sort of green raspberry-seed like edge to it and it really just reminds me of smelling a jar of raspberry jam.
The flavor is not as sweet as the aroma suggested, but it is still definitely a sweet beer. Flavors of raspberry jam or sweet raspberry syrup are quite in evidence and this really works as an end of the meal dessert. The raspberry character has a nice pulpy, fleshy, fruit flavor to it and there is even some tannic, astringency here that seems to be derived from seeds or raspberry skin. There is a light, lactic tartness here that is mostly drowned out by the sweetness. The texture has a definite, sugary viscousness to it, though I wouldn’t say this is a heavy beer at all.
This is very quaffable, it is refreshing like a glass of raspberry juice; really juice is what this “beer” is. It is simplistic and even enjoyable if you take it for what it is.

Bottle. Raspberry, citrus and yeast in aroma. Red colour with pink head. Very sweet flavour like a soft drink with some citrus and a slightly dry finish. Far too sweet.
