Capa (955), Yokosuka, Japan Jul 31, 2007 Pours red/copper with a wispy pink head. Aroma is strong of raspberry, slightly tart, and is sugary sweet. Flavor is sweet berries(raspberry is the main player) sugary sweet, and some tart berry. Body is a bit thin with plenty of carbonation It’s alright, I wish the sugar was toned down a bit. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 26, 2007 Bottle sampled. Pours deep red with a pink head. Aroma of fermented acidic raspberries and sugar. The flavor is sweet upfront, sugary, and finishes with acidic tart raspberry. Decent brew. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA Jun 17, 2007 On tap at Brews Cafe in Granville Ohio - Pours bright purple with a healthy pink head. Aromas of straight raspberry sweetness. Flavor is mostly raspberry as well. A touch of yeast, and some tartness at the finish. Fizzy on the palate but pretty easy to sip for dessert. Not bad at all. detroitsteel (231), Greater London, England Jun 14, 2007 Draft at Le Sous Beck in Paris. Cloudy red body, small fizzy pink head. Looks and smells like raspberry soda (as noted bellow). The flavour starts of with lots of candied fruit, but its isn’t cloying. It has a good sharp/sweet thing going on that I enjoyed. Some dryness in the finish. eekonomist (4), Illinois, USA does not count Jun 13, 2007 It was either this or Lindemans at Binny’s so I decided to try this as my first lambic. What can I say, smells like raspberries, tastes like raspberry soda, and definitely looks like it. I guess in terms of smell and presentation that’s not a bad thing, the head was thick and pleasant for one, but tastewise, aside from a hint of alcohol bite and some tartness, you could buy 24 cans of raspberry soda for the same price and mix it with a little rum and probably get the same result. The artificial sweetening is what ultimately kills this one. Bartzilla (441), San Diego, California, USA May 13, 2007 Pretty good. Your typical Framboise. This is like raspberry juice. No noticeable alcohol flavors. Really sweet, mildly sour. Easy drinking. Almost just like the Lindeman’s Framboise. krunkjuice (1), Cleveland, Ohio, USA does not count May 11, 2007 St. Louis sets it’s framboise apart from the pack with its slightly sour finish that gives it a real fruit taste...not like drinking syrup. onehotsexychic (101), Albany, New York, USA Apr 19, 2007 Grreeeeeaaaaaaatt!! It’s more like a soda it’s so sweet.. but that’s just the way I like it
