The bitter sour starter keeps this from being a sticky sweet mess, and tones the whole thing down. FROTHINGSLOSH (1986), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA

The aroma was tart raspberry. The flavor is very tart and bitter raspberry with a light sweet middle and a tarty and tangy finish. Tasty. macguy (144), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Until now, the only other lambic option was Lindeman’s which is way sweeter. This beer is not quite as sour as I like but the best that my geo has to offer in the Lambic department these days. It pours a dark red, with a pink head, some nice lacing. The nose is classic lambic musty with raspberry overtones. The initial taste is sour/slightly sweet raspberry with an citric acid finish. I really like this beer and am so happy to have it in town. I hope it sticks around. bhensonb (4248), Woodland, California, USA

In the aroma, in the flavor, and the early finish seems the same as eating fresh raspberries, perhaps even a hint of seed. The sweet is nearly balanced by the tart. The new label is a bit sad, lacks the character of the old. Final finish hints of a sour lambic characeristic. Wakie (612), Centreville, Virginia, USA
