5% ABV according to bottle. Hazy orange/brown color, average sized white head with low retention. Aroma of apples, pears, sourness, wine, yeast. Taste of apples, vinegar, sourness, some fruitiness, citrus. Medium body, average carbonation. High level of sourness makes it kinda hard to drink, but it’s still moderately enjoyable. Apparently, this is not my style.

Well done for the style. Pours sort of a yellowish copper, clear with a hint of sediment at the bottom. Fizzy head. Very hard on the pears initially but in came some funky barnyard and very tart banana/apple. Very big on taste and dry in the finish.

Måske er det retfærdigt at den ikke får mange point, for den smager som en vildtgæret øl skal. Nemlig SUR.
Det er en speciel øltype, som skal smages og så må det være det.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at home. Dark amber/orange colour, with a small white head, that disappears almost instantly. Nose is green apple-ish, and yeasty (however champagne yeast, not beer!). Taste begins with a medium sourness, some green apple, but mostly lemon/citrus, that later turns into a distinctive bread peel. Nice.

Served in a tumbler it pours a deep orange color with an attractive musty tart rich pear aroma.
Medium bodied with a sharp carbonation and very dry. The taste is somewhat cider like in the initial sip but then unveils oak, pear, acidity and a nice bracing tartness.
Not the most exciting lambic around but very drinkable and refreshing.
