Pours a finger of head on a cloudy light straw body. The aroma is lots of raspberries. The taste is sour and tart all over the place; raspberry and lemon. The texture is soft, light and fizzy. Amazing. An outstanding drink.

375 ml. bottled 2012/11/13. Lightly hazy body is burnt orange-amber with some mild activity that supports a creamy disc of bubbles on top. Nose is sharp citrus acidity, funky white grape must and oxidized apple. A drop of honey with the beeswax rounds it off a bit. Flavors of lemon turning to vinegar, starchy rice, earthy white grape skins, soap and raw wood. Medium body is astringent and has a soft, medium-high carbonation. Iím not really a lambic aficionado and this oneís plenty tart for me, but I can tell this isnít enough for the real sourheads. It also seems to be missing a little something in the flavor.

Reviewed from old notes. 375ml bottle from Summerhill LCBO, Toronto, ON. 5% alc./vol. Aroma: Belgian yeast, oranges, and some spiciness. Appearance: Hazy amber colour with 1 finger of lasting white head. Taste: sour, grapes, citrusy. Refreshing beer.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet Manglerud enjoyed at home
Pours straw yellow with a thin white head. Smell of funk, tart berries, light malts, spices and hints of anis. Light sweet, quite dry, moderate to medium sour, tart fruits and lactic acids, fruity berry flavors, some funk and a touch of salt in the back, then lemon in the end. Quite ok gueuze, but not the funkiest or most sour example out there.

Deep yellow with murk and diminishing white bubbles. Aroma is green apple, pepper, champagne, funk. Taste is bracingly sour - honestly itís a little like stomach acid. Dry. Harsh. Interesting.

Bottle from KaDeWe. Hazy brownish pour with a dirty head that fades fairly quick. Some artificial sweetness, some barnyard funk, lemon peel and some vanilla.

Havnt had to much in this style but really like it. Salty and sour. Really tasty and fun. Not too much lingering taste, wish i could have more of this.

Sample at the 2014 Infected Chimipalooza on 11/01/2014. Hazy golden color with a medium white head that dissipates steadily. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Barnyard aroma with berry and yeast notes. Light-bodied with flavors of tart apples and berries plus some funky yeast. The finish is tart with a fruity aftertaste. Above average overall.

Bottle 375ml @ home
Pours hazy deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma is sour with notes of apples, sulfur, some dried fruits, yeast and sugar. Taste is light to medium sweet and medium sour with a long dry sour, green apple finish. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft to fizzy

UPDATED: NOV 12, 2014 Peach coloured body with minimal white head, quickly disappearing into a thin glass hugging ring. Aromas are light citrus over light caramel malts and heavy on breadiness. Bit of fruit rinds. Palate is light, crisp and almost sparkling. Tastes are citrus, grapefruit, tart bitterness. Slightly sour. Overall this isnít really my idea of beer, but I could see it appealing to some palates. More of an alcoholic beverage in the cooler family for my tastes. Iíll live, never trying this one again.
