A gueuze lambic for the beginners, you don’t want so much sugar in a true lambic, some tartness, some cereals. Not good

Shared by RussianDragon. Thanks Dave! Served alongside the St. Louis Kriek. The beer is hazy golden with a small white head. Aromas of hay, grass, barn funk, typical gueuze scents, perhaps a sprinkling of black pepper. Similar flavor, with earth tones and a mild grainy aspect. pretty tasty. Crisp with a dry finish. For a ubiquitous gueuze, this isn’t bad at all.

au nez, arôme de pomme verte et levures sauvages. au palais, l’acidité est contrebalancée par des arômes de viande, de saucisson fumé, umami. bière très bien équilibrée, l’acidité est fine, non agressive. finale umami. superbe!

Poured into a tulip out of a 375ml bottle. Pours a hazy dark gold with a smallish white head with just some very splotchy lacing. Aroma has the barnyard funk that I am expecting along with some peachy notes that are a bit different. Belgian yeasty esters along with a bit of pepper. The flavor has the funk toned down somewhat and there is quite a bit of fruit present; at least more than other beers of the style have had. More peach with some green apple. Vinous and woody notes combine with a very sour/tart mouthfeel to make this interesting throughout. The sourness fades towards the finish with a graininess lingering. Overall, this is a very nice beer and quite interesting. The extra fruitiness is different than other Geuzes and makes this one unique. Not my favorite but it is an enjoyable drink.

Orange clear, light white head. Dark berry, peppery spiciness. Spicy with some bitterness and sourness. Very dry while still quite fruity. Lighter body, very acidic, effervescent. Nicely balanced, pleasant. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Note: I’ve been holding on to this one, not for a special reason, just never came around to opening it. Opportunity knocked when I had a female US Couch Surfer coming over, claiming she especially liked Belgian sour ales. Well, there’s something you don’t hear every day.
Little cloudy beige beer, small irregular off-white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: fruity, some citrus, bit sweet, lemony, bit funky, sourish. MF: lively carbon, medium to light body.
