3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Had this months ago. Brownish, just as apple juice but more clear and witha clear thin foam layer. Aroma is sour, softly so but not too complicated. Lemon, sour, fermented. Taste is also quite nice and easygoing, light sourish drink that is nicely drinkable. Belgium comes in mind :) Finish is quite dry. Clean, citrusy geuze.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from the LCBO. Bright and very slightly hazy copper-leaning orange-gold with a thin white head. Aroma of slightly fermented lemon, peppery yeast, a slight dusty-funky backnote. Flavour is undeniably tart, but with a sweet tone to it as well, like SweeTarts candy. Notes of various sour fruits - sour apple, sour grapes, lemon - come towards the finish, along with a surprisingly pleasant brackishness right at the end. Not the most complex gueuze around, but still a very enjoyable and respectable one.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle pour at special brews. Pours a medium orange color with a wheat like sour fruit aroma. Sour fruit all around. Strawberry, raaoberry, a little cherry. Heavy sour, mild fruit. Delicious beer. Loved it.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a shallow, fine-grained, quick-dissipating head. The nose is lemon, umami, and an almost sea-like salinity. Tart and dry on the tongue, with considerable lemony acidity; there’s a slight thread of ashy bitterness as well that cuts the acid nicely. Finish is long, prickly, and astringent. Refreshing.

4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a finger of head on a cloudy light straw body.
The aroma is lots of raspberries.
The taste is sour and tart all over the place; raspberry and lemon.
The texture is soft, light and fizzy. Amazing.
An outstanding drink.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
375 ml. bottled 2012/11/13. Lightly hazy body is burnt orange-amber with some mild activity that supports a creamy disc of bubbles on top. Nose is sharp citrus acidity, funky white grape must and oxidized apple. A drop of honey with the beeswax rounds it off a bit. Flavors of lemon turning to vinegar, starchy rice, earthy white grape skins, soap and raw wood. Medium body is astringent and has a soft, medium-high carbonation. I’m not really a lambic aficionado and this one’s plenty tart for me, but I can tell this isn’t enough for the real sourheads. It also seems to be missing a little something in the flavor.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Vinmonopolet Manglerud enjoyed at home
Pours straw yellow with a thin white head. Smell of funk, tart berries, light malts, spices and hints of anis. Light sweet, quite dry, moderate to medium sour, tart fruits and lactic acids, fruity berry flavors, some funk and a touch of salt in the back, then lemon in the end. Quite ok gueuze, but not the funkiest or most sour example out there.
