Poured into a Karmaliet tulip glass. Poured a clear apple juice like color with a bubbly head with some lacing that disappears. Aroma is some sour funk, yeast. Taste is the same. Not much in terms of fruit. Tart finish. My first gueuze so I don’t have anything to compare it to. Looking forward to trying some more for comparison.

375 mL bottle from the LCBO, served in a stem glass. Pours clear orange-golden with a small off-white head that fades quickly to a thin remnant and leaves no lace. The nose has notes of grapefruit and green apple paired with grass, straw, flowers, wine vinegar, and a mild earthy note. The flavour is moderately sour with lactic acid throughout. Notes of sour apple, grapefruit, earth, grass and vinegar come through from the nose as well. There is a subtle oaky note present in the background. The finish is long and somewhat earthy with straw and tart fruit. On the palate, it is light-medium in body with a dry, slightly puckering texture and very light carbonation. Overall, a decent lambic. Reasonably complex, but I would have liked to see more carbonation and a longer-lasting head. 2014-08-20

2014/08/17 - Pours a hazy, orange-amber colour with a small, white head that diminishes quickly. No lacing. Aroma is lemon, sour green apple, mild funk and champagne notes. Taste is low to medium sweetness and medium tartness. Taste is lemon citrus, sour green apple, funk and white wine grape and wood notes. Finish is tart and refreshing. Body is medium, with a silky mouthfeel and low, lively carbonation. Refreshing summer beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12.7oz bottle, thanks to Sean Y. Shared with alexsdad06. Bottled on 2013/11/13. Hazy orange color, mildly pale and peachy. A more aggressive pour yields a thin off-white head. Leaves pretty decent splotches of lace. Pretty good funky aroma on it. Some smoke up front is kind of surprising. Lemony citrus. Good moderate sour taste, light to moderate sweet. Medium body. Smooth, kind of crisp, lighter carbonation. Sort of slick texture. An easy-drinking, refreshing yet satisfyingly complex and full-bodied gueuze. A lot different than your typical gueuze, maybe a little sweeter, but it has a nice balance. I enjoyed this.

Bottle shared by DrSilverworm. Pours a hazy dark golden color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet malts, bright fruity character, oak, yeast, some musty character, and a more sweet fruity, less tart finish.

Orange -rather dark for a geuze-. First lemon and a green apple that kicks in the nose. Later comes some caramel, a bit too sweety for a geuze. Very good beer -a pleasure to drink- but not amongst my favourite geuzes.

Bottle from the LCBO. Hazy medium orange amber pour with a small white short lived head leaving spotty lace. Nose of champagne and sour fruit with lemon notes. Sweet and very tart start; more than the nose would indicate and incorporating green apple, grape and some woodiness. Levels a bit after the start but remains tart through to the finish. Palate is medium full with a slick fell and active carbonation. Nice

375 ml bottle from the LCBO. Pours a clear deep golden colour lots of carbonation and a thin white head and doesn’t last too long. Nose is layers of tart citrus, wine vinegar, sweet cherry, flowers, funkiness. Taste is dominated by the dry sour finish. I get lemons, cherries, wine, champagne. My first gueuze and I liked it.

Amber beer with a small, fast diminishing white head. Sweet and acidic aroma. Flavour is quite sweet, lambic and mild acidic. Medium body, a bit watery. (Corked Bottle 75cl, 6,5 alcohol % in my version)
