Pours a slightly unclear golden beer with a good white head. Smells sour, bit glue. Medium sour taste with a sweet finish. Bit champagne like. Average carbo, thin body and a watery texture.

Flaske fra vinmonopolet. Mørk gylden, noe uklar. Tynn hvit skumtopp. Moderat karbonert. Syrlig, sitrus, stikkelsbær og eik. Ganske god

11.09.2014, 0,375l bottle @ home:
Small slightly bubbly mediumlasting head. Aroma is kind of strange sour-ish, new rubber boots, oak, sorrel, thinner, sour berries, grass, mild vinegar. Taste is acidic sour, sorrel, soda powder, oak, lemon, hay, mild vinegar, grass. Medium bitterness, nice acidic mouthfeel. Fair enough.

(375mL bottle from LCBO) Pours orange with a smallish head of active white bubbles and lingering rim without lace. Aroma has lemon, light wet hay, cheese notes, and a light orange sweetness too, to go with a bit of sourness. Wood pretty restrained. Palate has lemon juice, seems a bit lactic, slight barnyard, there’s some tart fruit and lemon zest in the middle, bit of sweet grain at the finish and a tart, slightly puckering sort of sourness throughout. Not bracingly sour though. Lightly earthy, smoky wood and Brett type character. Dry aftertaste. Light-moderate mouthfeel, bright but restrained carb, drinks well. Not as bracingly sour as I expected, moderate sweetness, some complexity to the characters even if the flavours seem a touch muted. Quite enjoyable.

Pours a hazy orange/copper with a frothy head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of peach, pears passion fruit. Quite tart, very peachy, sourness lasts quite a while.

Hazy orange pour, small white head. Funky aroma, light wet hay, some citrus and subtle horse blanket. Mouth feel is quite nice, carb is perfect. The finish is slightly sweey, with some lemon zest notes, with a very tart, funky finish. Quite a bit more sourness than i expected. My expectations were quite low for this beer, but its much better than expected. Not as tart and sour as the big lamic houses, but this still quite good.

Hazy amber with a thin cream head. Wood, funk, lemon, acidic, tart, cheese and barnyard. Great palate, heavy tartness up front, acidic, lemon, tart, smooth finish.

375 mL bottle. Pours pale amber and lightly hazed. A white cap of head leaves no lacing. Lemony juiciness, floral hop tones, grainy malt, a touch of wheat berry, barnyard funk and earth. Mild oakiness. Dry on dry, with a moderate sourness. A hint of brett smokiness that approaches bitter. Moderately bodied and highly carbonated. A simple lambic; enjoyable nonetheless.

Bottle from the LCBO. Pours a very active orangey colour, no head nor lace. Nose is rather sour, a touch of grain. Tastes quite sour, I don’t know how to word it any other way. Really tasty, but quite acidic. Make sure you’ve got you heartburn treatment on standby.

375 mL bottle from the LCBO, served in a stem glass. Pours clear orange-golden with a small off-white head that fades quickly to a thin remnant and leaves no lace. The nose has notes of grapefruit and green apple paired with grass, straw, flowers, wine vinegar, and a mild earthy note. The flavour is moderately sour with lactic acid throughout. Notes of sour apple, grapefruit, earth, grass and vinegar come through from the nose as well. There is a subtle oaky note present in the background. The finish is long and somewhat earthy with straw and tart fruit. On the palate, it is light-medium in body with a dry, slightly puckering texture and very light carbonation. Overall, a decent lambic. Reasonably complex, but I would have liked to see more carbonation and a longer-lasting head. 2014-08-20
