Herring Creek Camping beer tasting - while this wasn’t one of the best gueze’s out there, it was still really nice. Kind of like a Introductory to Gueuze kinda beer. It won’t kick you in the balls with it’s intensity, but it will perk you up and let you know you’re drinking one. Aroma is slightly cheesy, sour, light vomity, hay with just a touch of white wine. Flavor is on the musty side, a little more cheese, medium sourness/lemony, light oak-y-ness with a bone-dry, semi-mouth strippin feel. Love this stuff.

Pours clear amber with a white head. Aroma has lots of funk, cheese, apples, vinegar and unripe goose berries. Taste has vinegar, funk, goose berries, wood, apples and weak grapefruit notes.

12.7 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured cloudy, dark orange in color with a nice off white head, head dissipated quickly, no lacing. Aroma of sour apples, some malts, and some grass. Taste of green apple and citrus fruit, combined with some cereal notes and some caramel notes. Dry finish. Crisp and refreshing, and certainly very interesting.

Very sour. Not bitter. Not a beery taste but not fruity either. But a second to St. Louis Tradition ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2013 keg filled to crowler 7/19/2015. Woody tart aroma with some funk. Taste is almost a tannic woody oaky with a mix of lactic sour and a barnyard funky. Maybe 4 or 5 of 10 sour. Flavors of granny smith apples as well. Pretty nice gueuze. Some sips I like the barnyard funk in there and some I don’t. It does add a level of complexity to the beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

clear golden colour, moderate sized dense, though not very stable head; aroma of wine cellar, woody notes, some lemon and sour apple; sour taste with bittery-lemony-sour aplle-white wine notes, maybe some wood; great geuze

Bottle. Pours deep golden, with a big creamy head settling to finger thickness. Aroma is nice, tart wooden brett, with notes of oak, leather and honey, as well as some lactic funkiness, lemon and white wine. Fairly creamy, mouthfilling body, with soft to average carbonation. Flavour is tart, mellow lactic, with funky notes of brett, wooden barrels, berries and white wine. More like a sour saison than anything else. Not overly complex, but with a fantastic drinkability.

Good starting head but it settles quickly to rim lace. Little lace (some spots). Orange-amber with some haziness. Sweet and sour aroma. Smells like many of Framboise available, yet I know there are no raspberries in this one. Overly sour where no sweetness is present (unlike the smell). Lip smacking tartness which makes for a lingering aftertaste. Watery with a below average carbonation level.
