4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 GG (1980) - NorCal, California, USA - DEC 30, 2011375ml bottle -
Herring Creek Camping beer tasting - while this wasn’t one of the best gueze’s out there, it was still really nice. Kind of like a Introductory to Gueuze kinda beer. It won’t kick you in the balls with it’s intensity, but it will perk you up and let you know you’re drinking one. Aroma is slightly cheesy, sour, light vomity, hay with just a touch of white wine. Flavor is on the musty side, a little more cheese, medium sourness/lemony, light oak-y-ness with a bone-dry, semi-mouth strippin feel. Love this stuff.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 prawlie (861) - Berkshire, ENGLAND - MAY 22, 2013
Bottle into an Achel glass. copper brown, fizzy, with a good head. Nice grassy, herby, sour and typical gueuze aroma. Sour, crisp, banana, refreshing. Quite smooth once the initial sour burst is overcome.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 DMLINAZ (184) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - MAY 13, 2013
On draft at 1702 in Tucson, AZ, into a tulip glass, pours an off - orange color with a thin head. Nice tart aroma is not overpowering, and that’s matched in the flavor. Flavor is tart, sour fruit, like a saison in some ways but mild tartness goes across the palette. Medium bodied and a long, dry finish.

375 ml bottle shared. Pours a hazy straw color with a fizzy white head of foam. Aroma is a sweeter sour musty. Taste is fairly tart, but it’s a little one dimensional. It could use some complexity.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Cybercat (2454) - Georgia, USA - MAY 4, 2013
Comes out of the tap a hazy darkish golden amber with a fairly thick and fine-bubbled pale golden tan head. Aroma has a strong fruity overtone, almost like a hard apple cider, plus a malty hint. Crisp, fruity flavor brings to mind a strong, dry cider, though a bit of hop bitterness manages to sneak through. Alcohol bite is quite strong for only 5%. Texture seems rather thin despite the strong fizz. Not a fave for me, but maybe someone who really likes lambics will appreciate it more.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 ajnepple (482) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - MAY 2, 2013
On tap at The Mayor of Old Town. Orange and pretty clear. Aroma and flavor of chalky, earthy yeast, fruity tartness and a light sour character. Light to medium body with nice carbonation.

Tasted from the bottle, 30/04/2913, in Antwerp.
Pours just slightly muddy, with a tiny head.
Aroma is mild, green apples, sweet oranges.
Taste is quite lactic sour, tart apples, a touch of raspberry/strawberry, lemon juice.
Quite interesting gueuze, with its own distinctive flavor&aroma profile.
Recommended.

Purchased at the City Market Coop in Burlington, VT. Pours a slight hazy golden colour with a creamy head. Sour and sweet aromas with hints of wood, kind of earthy. Not as sweet in taste, but a nice sour flavours with the earth feel. A nice mild tart finish. Grain comes out eventually in the aftertaste. A nice lambic.
