The aroma has a great deal of yeast, along with some apple, and a vegetable-like scent. I taste more of the yeast in sipping. The beer is definitely sour, perhaps more than the other beers I’ve tried. The palate is invigorating, with an average-strength body. As my first gueuze that I’ve tried, this is a complex and interesting beer, yet I don’t know if I’m ready to drink gueuzes regularly.

Bottle from KaDeWe. Hazy brownish pour with a dirty head that fades fairly quick. Some artificial sweetness, some barnyard funk, lemon peel and some vanilla.

Havnt had to much in this style but really like it. Salty and sour. Really tasty and fun. Not too much lingering taste, wish i could have more of this.

Sample at the 2014 Infected Chimipalooza on 11/01/2014. Hazy golden color with a medium white head that dissipates steadily. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Barnyard aroma with berry and yeast notes. Light-bodied with flavors of tart apples and berries plus some funky yeast. The finish is tart with a fruity aftertaste. Above average overall.

Pours hazy deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma is sour with notes of apples, sulfur, some dried fruits, yeast and sugar. Taste is light to medium sweet and medium sour with a long dry sour, green apple finish. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft to fizzy

UPDATED: NOV 12, 2014 Peach coloured body with minimal white head, quickly disappearing into a thin glass hugging ring. Aromas are light citrus over light caramel malts and heavy on breadiness. Bit of fruit rinds. Palate is light, crisp and almost sparkling. Tastes are citrus, grapefruit, tart bitterness. Slightly sour. Overall this isn’t really my idea of beer, but I could see it appealing to some palates. More of an alcoholic beverage in the cooler family for my tastes. I’ll live, never trying this one again.

0.375l bottle. This is a deep orange looking cloudy one, filled with lots and lots of small floaters and sediments. It also has a nice medium sized off-white head. Smells nice. It’s woody, lots of pear and some apple. Generic fruits, some earthy things and hints of burned matches. A fairly decent amount of lemonic sourness in the taste. A nice light oily feeling in the mouth and it’s about average on the bubbles. Woody, soft sour green apples and lemon juice. Some grapefruit also in the blend here. It’s actually quite refreshing. I also get a sour tomato flavor - that I quite like! Ends with a almost nutty aftertaste. Did not mind this at all. 13.09.2014
