Minderbinder (1671) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 26, 2013
Bottle 250ml @ Pub St-Alexandre. Pours ugly pale blond/golden with low beige head (well almost none). Aroma is of sugar, slight lambic (some barnyard). Sugar is dominating here. Taste is of slight wild yeast/barnyard, fruits, hard water, heavy sugar. Palate: Light-medium body. Overall: Not that repulsive, but too sugary, in a bad way. It’s supposed to be dry, and it’s not at all. I wonder what kind of "gueuze" it is, and what % of older lambic it contains. Still drinkable, but not really interesting.

Bottle (250 ml) @ Pub St-Alexandre (Québec). Clear golden/amber with a small off-white head and little to no lacing. Aroma is sweet with light barnyard and brown sugar. Taste is moderately sweet with caramel and mild fruity notes... not barnyard here. Light to medium body. Low to moderate carbonation. Slightly sirupy. Not dry enough for a Gueuze. Not as bad as I thought it would be... but still pretty bad. Too sweet for a Gueuze. No complexity.
