375ml bottle from LCBO, Shops at Don Mills, Toronto, ON. 4,5 alc./vol. Pours a clear gold colour with one finger of lasting white head. Leaves a nice lacing. Aroma of hops and notes of apples. Taste matches the aroma. Apple is pronounced and not as sour as the usual belgian lambic. Not bad but nothing spectacular. It’s a but too sugary for a lambic.

Pours a clear strong golden with a small white head that leaves good lacing. Nose is of sugar and faint sour fruits. Reminds me of a faro, really. Taste is indeed sweet with a slight tart edge, a far cry from the real deal. Flavors of honey drizzled pears and candi sugar. No funk, no barnyard, no nothing. I’d drink Girardin White Label many times over this. Body is medium, carbonation light and mouthfeel oily. Meh.

It pours amber with golden highlights; the head is off-white and foamy. The aroma has notes of: barnyard funk, lemon juice, white wine, and Sweet malts. The taste is medium - light sweet that finishes light sour; there are notes of: lemon juice, candy sugar, cereal grains, and a slight horse blanket. The palate is medium - light bodied, medium carbonation; it has a medium finish. Overall, it’s a weak example of the style but very drinkable - not bad.

Overpriced bottle from Bierzwerg in Greven. The beer has got a hazy strawy colour with a steady airy low head and medium to thin body. Aroma of acid and green nuts. Taste of mild vinegar, unripe berries, u ripe fruits, acid, light hay and mild grapefruit zest. Drinkable and actually you cannot really expect something good from St. Louis....

Bottle. 4.5%. Best before 09.15. As ’St. Louis Premium Gueuze’. Pours a hazy, dull straw yellow, with an off-white head. Weak aroma, a bit tart, sweetish, and with a mustard (!) note. Flavour is... well, it has a flavour, but I’m not sure what it is. It’s just dull. And slightly tart. Lingering metallic note in the finish. Meh. 28.02.15.

Bottle as Van Honsebrouck Geuze Lambic bb’85/’86@ BBF ’15 Vintage Tasting ZO, merci. Disintegrated into flat rotten peach, massive sweetness, candy sugar. Wafts of banana liqueur of sorts - aged as a deplorable remnant of geuze=sweetened Flemish lambiek days... To be revisited in modern day version.
