Bottled sample from MLCC. Was expecting more from this, but was quite disappointed at home sweet this was. My first Gueuze. Hope the next one is better.

hallinghansen (848) - Odense SV, DENMARK - APR 30, 2010
Bottle. Amber body with a small white head. Aroma is a bit sourish. Flavor starts sour but turns sweet, pear. This is the weakest gueuze lambic that I have tasted. There is absolutely no basement in this one. Boring.

Diogène (990) - Mirabel, Quebec, CANADA - APR 17, 2010
375ml from LCBO. Clear golden with a thick foamy white head with very good retention. Aroma is sweet and sour, with apples, candies and some herbs. Flavor is sweet, candy like with apples, fruits and some sourness. Closer to a faro than a lambic. Very sweet.

ha1ag (609) - Maastricht, NETHERLANDS - APR 11, 2010
Bottled at Thembis in Mestreech. Deep golden color with above average light beige head. Aroma is mix of sweet and sour with hints of apricot. Flavour is dominated by apricot and some other fruits are present as well. Quite a sticky sweet mouthfeel remains. Forgettable for a gueuze.

Spab (1118) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 5, 2010
375 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a clear golden amber with a decent-sized, lasting white head. Aroma is mostly sour fruit (apples, maybe grapes) and yeast. Flavour is very sour with apple and other fruit notes. Somewhat watery. Not one I’d have again.
