Bottle. This is not a real gueuze thats my opiniun. Light yellow color. Light body. Start sweet at the finish is winey with a small amount of fruit flavours. The palate is more like regular ale.

UPDATED: SEP 6, 2008 corked 375ml bottle. again, same as the mort subite geuze, this is lacking in the tart, and sourness. its thin, and wattery, not very pleasant.

Hazelnut-brown colour. Smells of horse. Somewhat sourish, sweet. A beginners lambic.

Pale amber in colour. Aroma was filled with sugar, some oranges and honey. Flavour was rather sweet for a gueuze and very straight forward. Finish is sweet, quick with only a small tart bitterness. This does not satisfy my need for a good gueuze but I'll take anything from this style because they are so hard to find here.

Green bottle, 375 ml, best before 04-2009, purchased at the LCBO, savoured on March 22 2006; eye: copper with a reddish hue, clear, voluminous beige head that falls rapidly to leave a blanket on top of the beer, lacing, good effervescence; nose: lambic, light fruitiness, horse blanket; mouth: surprisingly the expected acidity is barely present, relatively thin, definitely uncommon savours, horse blanket, stale apple, sugar is present throughout the sip, a bit of hops, finale in horse blanket with stale apple, slightly bitter, mildly sweet, medium body, rather carbonated; overall: disappointing FRANÇAIS Bouteille verte, 375 ml, meilleure avant 04-2009, achetée à la LCBO, savourée le 22 mars 2008; œil : cuivrée avec une teinte rougeâtre, claire, mousse blanche abondante qui tombe assez rapidement pour laisser un petit tapis, dentelle, bonne effervescence; nez : lambic, léger fruité, cheval; bouche : curieusement l’acidité tant attendue est à peine présente, relativement mince, définitivement des saveurs non fréquentes, cheval, pomme éventée, sucre est présent tout au long de la gorgée, un peu de houblon, finale en cheval avec de la pomme éventée, très légèrement amère, moyennement sucrée, corps moyen, plutôt carbonatée; en résumé : déçu

Bottle - 250ml. Hazy gold body topped with a thin white creamy head. Good hoppy aroma with herbal, flowery, and apple notes. Its malty taste is rather thin and ends with a short sour finish. Not impressed...

Joeh (2036) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - NOV 1, 2004
Bottle brought back from Belgium. Rather sweet gueuze. But nowhere near as sweet as Lindemans, for instance, and without Lindeman’s raw, unrefined staleness. Reasonably bland and rather safe with only passing sourness and barely any dryness. I can’t help thinking that without the sourness & bone dry characteristics lambics just taste sickly and stale. It’s gueuze, but only in name.
