2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 jaghana (1803) - Strasbourg (France), FRANCE - JAN 9, 2011
Bottle 37,5cl. A clear copper beer with low head. Smell is typically sour. What a wonder this gueuse is very sweet, unfortunately this sugar is more aspartame like and do not give any complexity to this beer. Aroma is less malty, bitter with apple and cider notes, finish is even metallic. Not really exciting.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Defreni (1781) - Husum, DENMARK - JUN 16, 2009
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 jerohen (1775) - Bussum, NETHERLANDS - JAN 16, 2009
Bottled, BB 03-2008, sampled 01-2009 (about 3 years old). Courtesy of my mom. Hazy golden/orange coloured, fair head. Nice nose, some tartness, bret, quite ok. Very sweet flavour though, very syrupy. If they would stop sweetening it, this stuff might actually be ok.

a little sweet to be an original gueze but not too bad, herbal flavour, slightly fizzy, good one to start people on the geuze train
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 rodenbach99 (1750) - Longueuil, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 17, 2010
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 pineypower (1735) - Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA - JUL 9, 2009
Tap at Capone’s. Pours out a mostly clear light amber color with a small lacing head that sticks around. Aroma is vinous and rather tart, some notes of citrus. Taste is puckering tart and sour, some wood and some sweetness in there also, ok, but never really came together.
