Clear amber coloured beer with small off-white head and lots of carbonation. Fruity herby aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is soft sour sweet. Ok.

375ml green corked bottle. Cork date 09-2003. Light amber colour, slight creamy head. Light grape, trace apple aromas. Cidery notes, subdued tartness. Some sugars.

This one was rather sour, no head, no carbonation, old school gueuze that seemed like it was brewed in the garage next door. Not for beginners, in fact the sour taste would work well with some food but not at a bar. I think there are better gueuze’s out there which will interest beer geeks, though this one does seem to adhere to the "traditional" methods, if you include a lack of care and attention as being "traditional"!

daboskabouter (1470) - Fergus, Ontario, CANADA - APR 30, 2005
Light amber colour with a light foamy white head and lace that hugs the glass. The nose is slightly skunked, yet there are still barnyard hints and it’s a bit tart and dusty. The body is quite sweet and sugary for a gueuze. Lightly tart and spritzy finishes short and sweet. Not a great gueuze.

joeycapps (1467) - Waterdown, Ontario, CANADA - APR 29, 2005
Clear, bright orange-amber w/ pale tan foam. Aroma is sweet & malty w/ some light tart apple notes. Light, highly carbonated feel. Odd flavour for a gueuze--sweet & malty w/ some earthy bitterness & almost not tartness. Overall quite bland w/ a cardboard-ish quality.

markas101 (1438) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - NOV 5, 2009
37.5 cl bottle, Fargo, ND. USA via Chicago. Hazy deep golden colour, frothy soap like head that quickly vanishes. Aroma of apple, coriander and yeast. Tastes like a weak cider without too much overt sweetness. Mellow and slightly earthy on the finish.
