This beer has a very special taste. It has a touch of banger, cabbage and prune!

UPDATED: MAY 22, 2003 This gueuze is my first gueuze. I love this stuff. Sour and a bit vinegary nose. Very nice, fruity and refreshing taste and aroma, yet filling. Great brew, I will buy this beer again.

Randomly picked this one in a bar. Was very pleased. Poured Amber, moderate head. My first sip noted that it was sour, but it sweetned by mid-bottle and stayed that way to the end.

A gigantic lambic, you would feel the hops jumping to your nose, good flavour too.

Typical lambic sourness with hay and a bit of fruitiness. Not amazingly complex, but decent.

The funky, sour aroma is smooth through the nose. The deep golden color pours with a small head. It is a clear sour flavor which stays smooth throughout the palate.

Tap at Memphis Taproom for a dolla! Pours a hazy golden orange with a medium bubbly white head. Aroma of sweet sour and funky notes, tart cherry and some light barnyard. Flavor of tart funkiness, cherries and light sweetness. Well done. Aroma coming across a bit sweet.

Draft at Capone’s. Similar to Cantillon but not as good. Hazy yellow, with thin head. Flavor is sour but overall very tart, hints of citrus. Dry finish

Bottle @ barely Legal Tasting Room Pours amber-ish, with a small white head . Smel is sweet - More Faro than geuze Taste is sweet, sugary , with a hint of lambic . i’d call this a Faro any day, upon tasting blindly . And I like Faro’s . of course, as a Geuze/sour fan this sucks ass , but tastewise ? I’ll never say no to drinking something like this . I just do not understand why they call it a geuze ...
Earlier Rating: 3/19/2013 Total Score: 3.6
bottle from the shity bottleshop behind the corner... pours unlike a geuze! how do i mean? carbonation already gives sugar away ( or is that just some weird idea in my had? ) soapy foam, very light orange colour, and the carbonation rising up? thats just like a lager or something... so yeah.. usualy i see only colours and wether the foam is big or not. this is the first time i actualy SEE - this is NOT gonna be a good geuze :p ( or its imaginary , perhaps ) foam is already gone by typing till here.. leaving a thin layer of white at the top smells like a faro . a faro is one of my favourite beer styles, but this is a geuze? WTF ? tastes sugary, again, i would believe this is a faro, by the taste, but the label clearly states st louis premium geuze lambic ( i did not do this as a new entry, since the word premium above it could as well be a diffrent labeling , i figured ) so yeah, a bad faro, ( but not the badest one ) to me. do i enjoy it? for this price -> yeah. but why call this geuze? thats like calling budweiser an imperial stout.. WHY ????
