3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Kalli (502) - Falun, SWEDEN - OCT 29, 2003
UPDATED: MAR 31, 2004 Lovely amber colour topped with off white head. Aroma reminds me of flemish sour ale, except without the syrupy berry tones.
The sourness of the taste is however balanced by the sweetness of the beer. The sweetness is not to my taste, but needed and I really enjoyed this beer, but I'd never could drink a lot of this stuff.
Re-rate: That amber colour looks pretty flat now, much visible carbonation, still not very exciting to look at.
Tart and sour aroma, not at all bad. Not as sweet, nor as sour, as I'd remember. Actually balances quite well. It is however a bit thin on the palate, which combined with a dusty flavour drags it down a bit.
Now, I'd really like to get my hands on a high rated Geuze!
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 dirkules (627) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 10, 2005
Apple cider taste with a barny and leathery texture. Not as strong a gueuze as it could be, but has enough sour and tartness to make it appealing.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Nekronos (2627) - Xalapa, MEXICO - NOV 10, 2010
Very incipit but nice to drink. A little lack of gas in it. Had it on a refreshment moment at the Belgian coast.

Tasted on tap. Very simple, basic gueuze. Aroma is traditionally musty. Lightly sweet. Medium acidity. Nothing special.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 gnoff (4830) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - APR 19, 2008
(37.5 cl bottle at Café 3 Små Rum, Göteborg) BB 08-2008. On April 18, 2008. Clear pale golden color, big white head. Acidic, apple, nutty scent. Sweet, lactic, slight acidic taste. Smooth mouthfeel, low bitterness. Apple and apricot sweet aftertaste. Taste more like a Faro than a Lambic - gueuze to me.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 french tickler (642) - Aylmer, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 24, 2008
Shared with Pyrozoid. Clear orange/amber poor with a tiny off-white head. Aromas of oranges, sour apples, pine resin, lemon juice and rhubarb. Sweet unexpected for a gueuze... and unexpected after listing the aromas. The acid mouthfeel hits you right off the bat but very quickly switches to a longlasting sweetness and a very faint bitter palate. Acid fruits completes the flavors... but again... slightly to sweet. Good tasting beer but very far from its actual style.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 reebtogi (1568) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 9, 2011
375mL bottle from LCBO in Thunder Bay, ON. Poured clear amber with light white head and little to no lace. Aromas of caramel and some yeast. Taste is slightly sweet with some yeast and a long sour finish. Light bodied and well carbonated for a decent mouthfeel.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 mannika (140) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - APR 2, 2010
Pours a clear, light amber with moderate white foamy head. Aroma is a bit skunky at first, then yields to sweet hops. Taste is a bit metallic with a lingering sweetness. Lively on the palate. Overall would be refreshing if you’re out on the patio having a drink - wouldn’t recommend as an evening or session beer though.
