3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Sully (1378) - Potts Point, New South Wales, AUSTRALIA - DEC 4, 2003
Looks great in the glass, a lovely deep amber with firm creamy head. The nose is a fruity melon which is not all too sour. The flavour is mellow and not at all too sharp. Perhaps the purists may say this in not sour enough but to my taste this one is great. The best of its style I have had, I can just imagine this beer with seafood on a Summer's day.

UPDATED: JAN 8, 2006 (Bottle 25 cl) Beautiful amber coloured with a rather fizzy head. Thin body but beautiful sweet and sour flavours. A commercial and sweetened gueuze but very pleasant indeed. And a good way to start if you’re not familiar to the style. 290893

Slightly more lamic character than the most timid lambics. Some light horse blanket flavours. A quafable gueuze none the less.

My first lambic, thanks to robinvboyer for this one! Pours a really nice deep red to coppery color with a one finger off white head. Aroma is pretty smoky, with some dark fruit notes, like dates maybe. A little bit of light fruits too, like mandarin oranges. I finally understand what the barnyard smell is, not really a bad thing, like I had sort of expected. Taste is pretty much like the smell. Very sweet and lightly fruity at first, then slowly getting drier and smokier as it finishes. A little bit of very mild spices, and some more dark fruits in the finish. Carbonation is decent, and mouthfeel is reasonably creamy. Very interesting beer.

UPDATED: NOV 4, 2011 (Bottled) You’re not meant to like this if you dig Gueuze put screw the pretense as this stuff is actually pleasant and refreshing; sweet but with a cool little leather like tartiness An easy going break from the customary hardcore Gueuzes I love.
