1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 mcberko (4146) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 25, 2013
375mL bottle, pours a hazy murky orange with a small white head. Nose is quite repulsive, with plastic, cardboard, apple juice and artificial sugars. Flavour is quite bad too, with lots of sweetness -- what the fuck is this doing in a supposed gueuze? -- along with notes of plastic, moderate funk, and apple juice. Very low complexity and way too sweet for the style. What a shame that these pseudo-lambics are out polluting the market, and potentially misleading dumbass consumers about what this is. Yeah, I know I bought it -- I was curious. Very bad. Don’t bother unless you’re curious or offered a free bottle.

Bottle at Bazar, Amsterdam. Clear golden amber colour, white head. Aroma is tart, Brett, light funk, green apple skin, caramel. Flavour is medium-sweet, sugary, caramel, light tart, apples, hint of funk, light tart finish with a little metallic sugar note. Light-bodied. OK for what it is.

I had this in a bar in Aalter Belgium. Poured clear orange with a little head. Slightly sour notes but not what you’d expect from a geueze. A simple beer and a bit disappointing.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Abijen (270) - NETHERLANDS - APR 15, 2013
Pours a golden reddish beer. Minimal to almost no head.
Smells little sour and sweet. Can't tell really what it smells like.
The taste is disappointing. I hoped for more sourness. It have little tones of sweetness and a little bit sourness. Really boring. The taste disappeared really faste. It has a watery and thin texture. Carbo is average.

Clear orange brown, white head. Very easy gueuze. Sourness is hard to find, medium sweet. More soda like.
2.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 ads135 (1728) - Lawrence, Kansas, USA - MAR 19, 2013
This is one of the worst gueuze’s you can buy. Sadly it was also one of the first I ever tried and nearly ruined the style for me. Has the sourness you’d expect, but its almost overwhelmed by the sweetness and stale cardboard aroma.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 kraddel (917) - deurne, BELGIUM - MAR 19, 2013
bottle from the shity bottleshop behind the corner...
pours unlike a geuze! how do i mean? carbonation already gives sugar away ( or is that just some weird idea in my had? ) soapy foam, very light orange colour, and the carbonation rising up? thats just like a lager or something... so yeah.. usualy i see only colours and wether the foam is big or not. this is the first time i actualy SEE - this is NOT gonna be a good geuze :p ( or its imaginary , perhaps )
foam is already gone by typing till here.. leaving a thin layer of white at the top
smells like a faro . a faro is one of my favourite beer styles, but this is a geuze? WTF ?
tastes sugary, again, i would believe this is a faro, by the taste, but the label clearly states st louis premium geuze lambic ( i did not do this as a new entry, since the word premium above it could as well be a diffrent labeling , i figured )
so yeah, a bad faro, ( but not the badest one ) to me. do i enjoy it? for this price -> yeah. but why call this geuze? thats like calling budweiser an imperial stout.. WHY ????
2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Lowenbrau (1054) - Asturias, Oviedo, SPAIN - JAN 2, 2013
25cl bottle. Sweet and subtle tart aromas. Pours bright gold, almost clear, with vanishing white head, poor lacing. Light body and hig carbonation, crispy. Taste is sweet, subtle sourness, herbal, hay. Much more on the sweet side, which is something i´m not expecting from a gueuze.
