St. Louis Kriek

Bottle. Pours cloear ruby with a small pink head. Aroma of sour cherries. Sweet taste of cherries and malt.

Bottle from Cindirene’s. Pours turbid ruby with fizzy off-pink head. Nose is tart cherry, earthy. Tastes of tart cherries, with a flavor that starts sweet and ends a bit tarter, and the last dregs aren’t as sweet as the first half of the bottle. Went well with a few Hershey kisses.

Bottle @ RBESG 09 Shefield ...big deep red burgandy ... rich cherry nose ... sweet sweet very cherry ... rich and fruit.

25cl bottle. Pours a clear ruby colour with bubbly pink head. Aroma is cherry and a bit of tart. Flavour is fruity, too sweet, with a bit of bitterness in the finish. Sweet aftertaste. Medium body and medium-high carbonation.

Bottle from the back of the fridge that’s a year or two old. Drank side by side with Lindeman’s. Cloudy dark red pour with a huge pink head. Sweet cherry aroma with a hint of tartness. Malty and sweet cherry flavor with some tartness in the finish. Lindeman’s won this contest, but neither can touch Belgian Red.

bottle (vieux bruxelles) 25 cl, amber/dark red colour with pink head. Smell: cherries, sweetness and a bit unpleasant rust smell. Taste: far too sweet, cherries, a bit grainy and very boring. But for a beer from ’the aldi’ is it ok!

Drank from a bottle in Amsterdam into a tulip. This is one of the better lambics I’ve had. color is dark red with a white head. It smells very fruity, mostly cherries. It tastes sweet, cherry is everywhere. with a very fine finish.

Sampled in Potsdamn. A pretty good Kriek but overall average compared to other Belgian styles. Still, bubbly and good solid flavors.
