3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled 09-02-04. I enjoyed the balance of sour notes with cherries residing somewhere behind, but the taxing sweetness was definitely this brew’s hamartia.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle 25 cl. Vieux Bruxelles Kriek Lambic 4,5%. Beer mahogany with flavor of cherry, kernel and almond, acetic button. Sweet and sour taste, jam, the lambic supports the acidity and brings the freshness. Fine carbonation and feel "frizzante" pleasant. Key acetic, almond and bitterness in more for a finale long and typical.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A: The pour is a clear ruby color with a frothy pink head on top. Some spotting lacing on the outside of the glass.
S: A mild lactic acidity and some sour cherries, but that’s about it in terms of the lambic character. Not much in the way of funk or oak. Still, the nose is invivting.
T: A very sweet, cherry syrup like flavor. Maybe a touch of cola to go along with the overall sweetness. Just a hint of acidity on the finish.
M: A light body with plenty of carbonation and a bit of a lingering sweetness.
D: Normally I’m not one for the sweetened lambics, but this one is actually pretty refreshing and easy to drink.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
0.25 l bottle.
Dark red colour, off-white/pink medium head and lively carbonation.
Cherry-liked and sweet nose, the taste is sweetsour and cherry-flavoured.
Fruity and sourish, but unfortunately too much artifical, aroma of cherry with some citrus hops in the back, the finish is astringent.
For me a mainly "plastic"-styled lambic with a light/medium body and a kinda thin texture.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a deep ruby red with small white sudsy head. Aroma is cherry pie filling all the way. Taste is sweet red cherries balanced by a nice tart sourness. Not as complex as other kriek’s i’ve had but very enjoyable.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours like a cherry apple juice with a light pink to off white head thats medium in size and fingers down the glass. Flavors of sour cherry pie with cream on top. A sweet to tart finish. Great as an after dinner drink.
