COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For 6 months the flesh of the fresh sour cherries slowly digests in the Lambic. The intense flavour of cherries and light nuances of almond from the pits determine the flavour of this fruity delicacy.

Note: ABV from 4.5% to 4% at some point.

Bassissima gradazione alcolica.

Bottle @ home. Aroma is red fruits and cherry, quite artificial. Flavour is light tangy red fruits, a bit watery but seems less fake then the 3.2 procent.

Dark cherry on the eye, strong pink head - fizzy though. Prnounced cherry on the nose. Sweet cherry on the tongue with some cellar-y notes. Sour-sweet finish. I’d like a bit more of the lambic and bit less of the cherry.

Bottle at home. Pours red with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet cherries, with a hint of sour in the background. Taste is sweet cherries, little bit sour in the aftertaste, but mostly overwhelming sweet cherries.

Bottle from Det Bette Ølhus. Clear reddish brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet cherries, heavy marzipan and vanilla essence. Flavor is quite sweet. Sweet finish. On a hot summer day this is actually drinkable. 270714

Bottle as Vieux Bruxelles Kriek. Red colour, light pink foam. Sweet aroma of candy, sweet cherry’s and sugar/sweeteners. Light sour taste. Almost no notes of lambic. No beer but limonade.

Cherry red lambic with a brief pink head. Smells like canned cherries - sweet and a little artificial. Taste is a lot less sweet than in Lindeman?s kriek which is too sweet. Sweetness in this one is much mire tolerable. There is also less tartness. Carbonation is medium. This one is ok but still kinda like drinking a sweet cherry soda.

Super leckeres Kriek. Gerne wieder!

UPDATED: MAY 15, 2015 Bottle. Clear brown-red color, small to no white head. Aromas of fresh cherries, cake and a bit yeast. Taste is rather dry, abrupt bitterness. Fizzy carbonation, watery texture. Malty, but not very distinctive, less to no taste of cherries. I expected more from this one, the lack of cherry taste is a bit disgusting.

Oh holdes Reinheitsgebot!
