For 6 months the flesh of the fresh sour cherries slowly digests in the Lambic. The intense flavour of cherries and light nuances of almond from the pits determine the flavour of this fruity delicacy.

Note: ABV from 4.5% to 4% at some point.

Its simple to say: good aroma and lambic aftertaste, but way over-sweetened, its like sugar with juice.

Definitely a novelty beer for me. Little sweet cheery taste but not fully developed. Not offensive but not so moreish either although it might be best described as unformed and diluted with a slight tang. Now I have tried it I would not rush to it again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

25 cl. bottle @ home, gift from my neighbours. ABV is 4% Reddish with a light-pink head. Aroma of sweer cherries. Taste is mostly sweet cherries, almost no lambic sourness but it still isn’t bad. Just a (semi)-decent kriek.

Nose of sweet cherries, pinkish color with a tiny head. Horrible sweetness, chemical sweetness with a bit of cherry thrown in. It does nothing for me. I’ve been spoiled recently travelling around Belgium, drinking kriek from Cantillon, 3 Fonteinen, Boon and the like. But this stuff is mass produced artificial sweetened truly awful stuff.

UPDATED: OCT 22, 2013 Bottle at Gainesville HOB. 9/25/2012 day enjoyed 9/7/13. Pours deep dark red with no head. Aroma is big time sweet cherries with some hints of vanilla in the background. Flavor is up front cherry finishing very smooth into some vanilla oak. Not much tartness here and mostly focuses on the sweet cherry juice.

Rouge rubis brillant avec un petit col rose. Une forte odeur de bonbon à la cerise. La saveur est douce cerise avec un peu de blé. Très rafraîchissant, pas si complexe, mais une kriek solide.

Bottle from supermarket. Ruby red color, pink head. Sweet taste with cherry, malts, berries, wheat and citrus. Sweet / sour finish with cherry and wheat. Decent, easy-going kriek.
