Red colour. Lots of cherry aroma and flavour. A bit sweet but not too much, needs more sourness.

Bottle at home. It pours deep red, with a thin white head. The nose is vert sweet, artificial cherry, marzipan and syrup. The taste is sweet syrupy cherry, cherry tunes, white sugar, marzipan, lime and a touch of tanginess. Medium body and fine carbonation. Wow this is very sweet indeed. Definately not what I look for in a kriek...

2cL taste. Awesome, obviously cherry aroma. Light body, light acidity, sweet. Very sour, maybe too sour. Really enjoyable, though!

UPDATED: JUL 2, 2012 Aroma has lots of cherry. Sweet but has also balancing sourness. I did not find this artificial..but have to admit I do find cherry itself being bit artificial in it’s nature. No impurities. Bit one sided but pure aroma. Red wine colour is clear. Some lacing. Taste has long lasting flavor of cherry balanced with bit sourness. Fresh berries, perky. Finish is dry and sour. Palate is full bodied and soft.Overall has at least enough cherry but also sourness. I feel bit like I would be criticizing cherry itself now. Sure it has lots of flavor and makes it hard to find other flavors, but come on .. it’s a cherry. That’s the way cherry just is and so is this beer.

Flaske 0,25l fra Kilpishalli. Drukket hjemme 20 Jun 12. Mørkerød på farge. Høyt svakt lyserødt luftig skum. God kirsebæraroma. Smaken er kirsebærsteiner. Lite annet. Søt fruktig ettersmak. KI=1

250ml bottle, 4.0% abv, many thanks to Finn. Dissipating pink head over a clear, brown-red body. Smell of dry almond and cherry. Sweet and tart cherries in flavour with almond dryness behind. Dry in the mouth. Quite refreshing on a sunny day up north (Tromsø, 16.06.2012).

Bottle from Green Life in Asheville, NC. Pink head, cough syrup nose sweet candy taste. A little more syrupy than most krieks and a hint of cough syrup, but very good overall.

250 ml bottle, 4% ABV. Ruby red body, small pink head. Aroma has lots of almondy cherries. Taste is sweet with cherries and marzipan. Simple and refreshing.
