There I was in SA and Ihad to find a bottle shop. It was next to the gun shop, a bit of a surprise for an Aussie. Well, this is the shot eh? Pale lager is pale lager is pale lager. The McDonalds of the beer world.

Can. Pale yellow pour. Not much of a head. Short on aroma. Short on flavor. Not much different than many mass-produced pale lagers. Light nose with hints of grass and corn. Sweet flavor with a canned vegetable aftertaste. Thin body is representative of everything else about this beer — thin.

canned. light beer with smell similar to the floor of a bar after a long night of debauchery. snowy head. pale, golden color. lots of carbonation with a dry-mouth, slightly bitter finish. have to say though that it does taste great on a hot day in the kalahari desert in southwestern botswana!

Can: This looks like someone added two drops of yellow food coloring to my tulip of water. The head is nice, initially. Full and frothy, ivory white too. It recededs to a thin skimming of bubbles across the pond. The nose is rather up front and "beery," kind of like the first time my friends and I stole a warm can of Budweiser and choked it down between us. Corn and syrup, with more of the same in the body. The meat of this beer is the strong note of water throughout. It’’s like someone served me a Busch Light, but poured out 2/3 of the beer and replaced it with water. Seriously though, achieving this low of ABV brew with no real off flavors is an accomplishment in itself. Of course, the flavors that are offered here shouldn’t be experienced by anyone, ever. That is unless you are ostricized to the outer reaches of the Kalahari Desert (and forced to listen the endless ramblings of a drunk Peter81)

Can as "St. Louis Light Lager".
Pale yellow color, white head. Dry papery and metallic aroma. Very metallic flavor (because of can?). Otherwise typical "light lager": light corn malty, watery, a bit harsh finish. New country courtesy of omhper.
