grandridge (137), Port Clinton, Ohio, USA May 6, 2008 Alright, my wife loves this beer because it’s like raspberry soda. I don’t like this beer for the same reason. Hah only 2.8% alcohol. How am I going to get my wife hammered with that!?! This makes me not like this beer even more. Aroma was like a candy store with raspberry air fresheners. Was that a head or was is just carbonation from the fruit soda. Well just call it a head I guess. I can’t pick out anything but raspberries in the flavor. It tastes like you are drowning in a bag of sugar while someone is shoving raspberries down your throat. I guess my idea of a dessert beer is some Rogue chocolate stout or a nice cold Rochefort. I still have to give it alright marks because the wife doesn’t want me to slam it too bad.
fonefan (4323), Ulfborg, Denmark Aug 12, 2008 Bottle 25cl @ home. Clear medium red color with a average, frothy, good lancing, mostly lasting, pink head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy raspberry, rapsberry jam. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet with a average to long duration, and some sulphur notes in the finish. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. (040608) BelgianBeerGal (882), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Aug 10, 2008 375ml bottle. Pours out a darker red colour with a medium, bubbly pink head. Huge aroma of raspberries and not much else. Raspberries once again dominate the flavour. Very easy drinking but not very complex for a fruit beer. Definitely more fruit than beer. Borresteijn (427), Amstelveen, Netherlands Aug 8, 2008 Bottle. Deep red colour, pink head. Huge sweet smell of raspberries, overpowering everything else. Taste is very sweet, raspberries. Great as a lemonade (still too sweet though), not as a beer. brigg (119), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Jul 28, 2008 Updated: Jul 30, 2008(bottle) A dark red beer with a small, slightly pink head. The strong ripe-raspberry aroma is just as sweet as the beer itself. It actually tastes quite delicious, it just doesn’t taste much like a beer, more like liquid candy (or a soda). The flavor is pretty one-dimensional, though the body has a nice feel to it. crowderm (154), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA Jun 19, 2008 Honestly, this beer is delicious. Yes, it’s very sweet, but there is just enough bitterness in there to make in manageable. Tastes like raspberry sorbet. This would make an awesome desert beer.
