Dark ruby coloured and clear. Has a pink head, lasting. Aroma of red fruits, raspberries, acid and faint sugars. Flavor is light sweet, moderate acidic. Dry, light astringent texture.

an enjoyable brew, but below average fruit lambic, and not quite worth the coin. Musty raspberry aroma and flavor. Body and sour finish lacking, but still pleasanrt enough.

Bottle from Whole Foods PM. Pours hazy magenta with fizzy pink head. Nose is delicious fresh raspberries, some earthy tartness. Tastes rich, fresh, on the sweet side but with that authentic raspberry tartness, and a smooth and complex finish. This is delicious.

Bottle 0.25L. Dark red body with a large, frothy, pink head, mostly lasting with nice lacing. Aroma is dominated by heavy sweet raspberry, with light yeasty character. Moderate-to-heavy sweet flavour, with light-to-moderate sourness. Light-to-medium body with watery texture; lively carbonation. First encounter with an unexpectedly interesting style.

Bottle at home. Aroma of sweet and sour raspberries, candy sugar, sweetener. Flavour is heavy sweet and mildly sour. Too much sweet and far too little sour, not to my liking.

Klares dunkelrot mit wenig Schaum. Sehr viel Himbeeren, für meinen Geschmack etwas zu süß, spritzig, etwas Säure.

It is not surprising that this lambic both smells and tastes of raspberries. Where many lambic also have little sour taste, these are nevertheless truly fruity sweet and fizzy. It may not have as many applications as other beers have, but a cool welcome drink anyway. Garnished with a fresh raspberry is excellent. And I wonder if you can impress guests by telling that it is actually beer?

* Old rating, best before 06. 2013. Das Bier ist süß mit Himbeeren. Die Lambic-Säure ist deutlich zu spüren, die Himbeeren sind aber etwas zu süß geraten. Süßlicher Nachgeschmack mit einem Hauch Säure.

Pours red with a healthy pink head of foam. Smell is of sweet and sour raspberries with a hint of Brett. Sweet raspberries dominate though I do get some tart notes and again, a hint of Brett. The 2.8% abv doesn’t get in the way at all. Lol. A very good fruit beer; not so good a Lambic.
