3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 yespr (26115) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - FEB 8, 2009
25 cL bottle, courtesy of Ungstrup. Pours murky purple with a small pink head. Spiced aroma with a distinct almond cherry aroma, very powerful. Sour and solid acidic with a mild spice note and a solid cherry almond note on the back of the nose. Somewhat sweet too. Tasted cold, I expect this to be lovely warm.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Papsoe (25131) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 3, 2009
Bottle 25 cl. Courtesy of Ungstrup. hazy and opaque dark red with a small pinkish head. Intense aroma of cherries and almonds - perhaps a little cinnamon also? Medium body with sweet cherry accents, cinnamon, raisins and almonds with a lightly metallic edge. Tasted at room temperature would probably have been even better if hot. But a pleasant surprise. 070209

Bottled. Ruby red colour, not much head, but what there is is mainly pink. Flavour and aroma is cherry stones. Also quite artificial. Some slight earthy notes. Actually quite pleasant in my opinion.

Bottle. (trade with papsoe) (drank at cellar temperature) Pours with a clear, deep red body and a small, reddish-white head. The aroma is cherry-ish with a evident touch of glühwein, cloves and almonds as well. The flavor is more on the sweet side, but there’s also a nice sourness and a spicyness that is subdued compared to in the aroma. Some almond as well. There’s dried fruits, mostly raisins I think, as well in both aroma and flavor. Medium body, a bit sticky in the mouth, but at least this one has a sourness to balance it slightly. Slightly sour finish with sweetness, and a little spicyness as well. Would like to try it heated as well, so I’ll have to look for another bottles I guess. A nice fruitbeer. (071205)

Bottle, bought at Skjold Burne, Store Torv, Aarhus. Tasted cold. Pours lightly muddy, very deep bloody red. Fine, staying, pink film head. Aroma has lots of cherries, almonds, good raisins, some good spices and a sugary edge. Low carbonation, fine, lightly dry mouthfeel. Flavour is quite spicy, light tartiness, good cherry flavours. This is really quite drinkable.
