Can from the LCBO - shared with jerc. Dark ruby with a faint pink head. Aroma of cherry cough drops with some decent funky notes. Flavour - red Life Savers (Jer, my wife and I all said it at the same time) with a mild tart funkiness in the finish. Honestly, I expected much worse from this, expecially since it was from a can (I’m not anti-can in general, but it just seems wrong for a Lambic) - but as far as sweetened fruit lambics go, it’s actually pretty good.

Jan 31, 2010 Deep red. This is a liquid version of a lightly cinnamon infused cherry tart. It also has a ripe cherry flavor, not at all like a syrup or artificial flavor. Fantastic balance between sweet and sour.

Jan 30, 2010 Pours red with a pink, very pink, head. Settles down quickly though, but it’s like looking at a cherry sundae or something. The aroma is one of very strong cherries, dark cherries, mashed cherries - lots of different cherry smells on the nose, they keep coming and then die down with the head. The taste is heavy cherry syrup with a slight hint of hops and grain at the back end. But it’s actually not too sweet - this one could have been disgusting, just syrup all the way, but ends up holding back enough to be interesting and refreshing, if a little bit sweet. I quite liked it.

Jan 23, 2010 375 bottle. Pours a dark clear ruby with a darker pink creamy thick frothy head. Aroma of straight cherry cough syrup, maybe not quite as medicinal, sugary cherries, bright, some tartness, more than the raspberry, bit of pool water. Flavor is very sweet and actually quite tart with lasting sourness, a bit grainy, weird cherry flavor, doesn’t seem natural, sour candy. Medium bodied, flat syrupy, weird feeling, kind of vacant feeling at the same time.

Nov 16, 2009 Slightly hazy cranberry color with a pinkish white head. Arom is sweet with cherries, and has a healthy bit of bretty notes, and subtle vanilla and nutmeg.. Flavor is nice, but well beyond cloying in terms of sweetness. The sourness is there, but not enough to balance its soda essence. $9/750

Oct 25, 2009 Bottle. Pours a dark garnet body with a pink head. Lush sweet and sour cherry aroma, lush and sweet. Overtly sweet sugar cherry notes. Some light funk y cheese notes and a mild woodiness. Decent enough.

Oct 7, 2009 Bottle: Poured a red color with a thin head. The aroma was cherry. The flavor was sweet and sour cherry. This beer was quite tasty.

Cristalclear red body. Head is pink.
Aroma is loaded with cherries! (of course).
There is a sweet earthy tone to the flavor.
Body is quite thin and the carbonation is soft and easy.
I like this kind of beers, but I think of them more like a cider or a soft drink...
