2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 EKGoldings (514) - Radford, Virginia, USA - NOV 14, 2012Overall disappointing, the taste is more on the sweet cherry ’Lindemans’ side of the Kriek street than the drier more austere Boon or Leifmans. Doesn’t have the complexity of a good lambic.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Viper666 (2708) - Saint-Hubert, Quebec, CANADA - APR 25, 2013
Canette 250ml. (2006)
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 scotty (959) - SCOTLAND - APR 19, 2013
Tesco Finest bottling. Delicous cherry flavours, nice acidic bite giving a clean refreshing edge, lowish abv but has good body and a lingering finish, nice!
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Lore (429) - Budapest, HUNGARY - MAR 30, 2013
ruby colour, practically no head;aroma and taste is fully dominated by sour cherry with only minimal lambic notes; only slightly better than the simple st louis kriek
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Marko (3614) - Split, CROATIA - MAR 22, 2013
Bottle at a friend’s place. Poured a clear red body with a thick pink head. Cherry juice, dusty. Candy cherry vs. mild sourness, with the candy winning in the end. Simple, tasty girly beer, as expected.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20 greenclansman (497) - Nicosia, CYPRUS - MAR 14, 2013
Typical fruit beer with sweet cheery aromas and taste, BUT at least it has a bit sour finish that kinda reminds you the true kriek ones.
Still not a good a beer.
2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 hfmejias (365) - Dover, Delaware, USA - MAR 3, 2013
1 PT 9.4 FL.OZ Bottle. Poured clear dark ruby red with a light pink head. Aroma is mostly cherries as you may expect. Taste is consistent with aroma although a bit too sweet for my liking is not bad some sour note along the way and a dry finish.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 mathieuc (284) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 25, 2013
Pours clear red with a pinkish and weak head. Smell is like those cough drops but a bit sweeter. This screams artificial. Taste is sweet with a nice and much appreciated sourness. It ends abruptly with an unpleasant aftertaste I just cannot put in word right now. I can only associate that with lower quality lambics I think though. Mouthfeel is thin with a normal level of carbonation. Overall I can see people drinking this "Coors Light" cold and enjoying it but I’m far from impressed, really.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 RexTalionis (1430) - FINLAND - FEB 25, 2013
Bottle 25 cl, BBE 09/2014. Pours dark red in color with pinkish
head. Cherries, notes of sour elements and barnyard in aroma, some
sugarcake as well. Chewy mouthfeel. Wheat flavor and quite malty in
taste at first. A bit of them sour cherries in aftertaste which
tends to finish in a sweet way though. Nice, and good dessert kriek
this one.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 tom10101 (1058) - Quebec, CANADA - FEB 21, 2013
Bottle (250 ml). Beautiful clear and bright ruby red with a small pink head and some lacing. Aroma of sweet cherries. Taste is sweet with sweet cherries. Not really sour or tart. Light body. It’s not bad per se, but it’s hard to call this a beer. It’s more a sweet and tasty cherry juice. Extremely easily drinkable!
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Douberd (635) - NETHERLANDS - FEB 13, 2013
Bottle of 250 ml. One finger head, pink-ish in colour, red body.
Aroma is obviously of cherries, not so artificial as with other cherry beers.
Taste is sweet and fruity with an even sweeter aftertaste.
Light bdy and average carbonation. A bit dry on the palate.
Overall a nice fruity beer.
