Bottled. Hazy dark amber coloured. Very artificial apricot jam aroma. Extremely sweet and artificial flavour. Undrinkable. Thin.

Amber colour, clear, with a small, fast-disappearing head. Aroma of artificial peach and other, unidentifiable fruits. Taste is sweet with a little sourness. Frothy sherbet-like fizz. No bitterness. Quite a pleasant fruit drink, but utterly different from, say, Cantillon Kriek, also classified as a Lambic-Fruit.

tiggmtl (4514) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 24, 2005
Sweet, tannin -full, hard candy, peach aroma. Clear amber-tan with a low white head that recedes to partial cover. Sickly sweet candy-like flavour but is it pear, peach or pineapple? No lambic character apparent whatsoever. Strong caronation to the medium-light somewhat watery body. Well, at least I never have to have that one again. Bottle (Bièropholie, Nov-05) sampled with ClarkVV and muzzlehatch.

ClarkVV (3579) - Allston, Massachusetts, USA - NOV 19, 2005
Bottle shared with Muzzlehatch and tiggmtl on 11/6/05. Pours an amber-orange color, clear and bubbly, with a fizzly white head, no lacing either. Aroma of cheap peach candy, juicy and full of sugar. No lambic. Flavor is just all peach candy, perhaps the slightest hint of a dry, earthy malt and maybe a hint of fuzzy peach skin. No lambic. Body is medium-full of peachy sugars. Texture is lightly syrupy. Carbonation is unnatural. So the premium line denotes what now? It sure dosen’t seem to denote a higher perecentage of lambic in the beer, because this was far less lambic-like than the St Louis non-premium framboise. And you’ve got to work at being less lambic-like than the St. Louis framboise. . .

250 ml bottle quaffed studiously while playing intently at Trivial Pursuit with tiggmtl and ClarkVV. Umm, looks like peach juice and has no real head after the fizziness dies...cheap supermarket additive-full peach juice aroma, maybe a bit of vanillin...absolutely sickening sugary artificial peach candy flavor, no beer character at all, syrupy at first then watery and mineral-laden finish.

Dough77 (821) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - NOV 2, 2005
Pours a copper fizzy with pretty heavy bubbly head. Aroma big on peach syrup and is very sweet. Flavor is a bit too sweet, with that peach syrup flavor, a bit of tartness. Like a cheap gimmicky lambic.

(Rating #207)

aroma is like peach gummy candy, and vanilla with cream. body is a peach gold with a thin. taste is a lot like candy. a little too much of a candy taste for me, but still by all means it’s not bad at all. it’s like a peach soda.

PorterPounder (4610) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - AUG 27, 2005
Big C Liqours, WInter Park, Fl, 12.7 oz bottle. Pours a sparkling medium orange with a long lasting slight white head. Apricot like sweet aroma with some peach sherbet accents. Flavor is subtly sweet, not overbearing, but not sour enough for a true lambic. Peach, apricots dominate. A bit of sourness comes through in the finish. Creamy mouthfeel. Good for a dessert beer.

Smells like, well peaches, golden orange in color. A lot more peach than lambic, like peach syrup used and not real fruit. Way too sweet for my liking.
