Copper with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of bready malt with a little hay. Sweetish malty flavour with bread and caramel. Drying bitterness in the finish

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and deep golden hazzlenut brown with a small tan head. Breadish malt aroma, light roasted and vague caramelish. Mild roasted toffee malt flavoured, subdued sweetness. Roasted malty flavoured finish.

Grima (2072) - Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - JUN 26, 2011
The glass is a deep, almost black beer with a good, fine creamy head The smell is roasted malty. Starts roasty with good malt body, medium bodied, also slightly sweet caramelly in the background. The finish is rather bitter coffee, the caramel flavor comes through more and more. The further course remains dominant malty with great hints of caramel!

Bottle. The nice smell of chocolate and malt, light aroma of cookies. The medium large beige head is creamy and foamy with a normal duration, the body is nearly black. A nice malty taste with a touch of chocolate, the finish is a little bit bitter. The body is light and creamy with a lively carbonation.

UPDATED: DEC 7, 2013 caramel, roasty, coffee, herbs, earthy, opaque copper color, frothy head that disappears quickly, sweetbitter, light body, creamy, average carbonation, sweetbitter malty finish, soft and mild beer, well-made but lacks real character

Erzengel (2341) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - DEC 23, 2013
Mild-malziger Antrunk.

Bottle, 5.0%. Weak roasted aroma. Clear dark brown colour. OK stable light brown head. The flavour is nicely roasted. Some good rye bread note, hint of sour dough. Roasted finish. Clean.

Deep ruby-amber coloured, quite stable big off-white head; roasted hazelnuts and a tinge of metal in the malty nose; relatively sweet and only light bitter flavour; light to medium bodied, smooth; hazelnuts - again - in the slightly drier sweet-bitter finish. Good example......

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts very malty-roasty, intense notes of bacon. Also very spicy. Finish malty-dry, well balanced. Quite drinkable. Unusual, but good dunkel!
