Hazy light yellow color with a nice white head. The taste is fruity with notes of citrus and coriander.

Bottled. Quite nice (almost white) colour, white head. Spicy aroma, little sweet. Where did the flavour go to? This tastes like water. I think vittel is cheaper.

UPDATED: AUG 18, 2005 Cloudy yellow colour, huge permanent white head, extremely lively. Citrus aroma. Citrus and yeasty taste. Thirst quenching, drinkable pretty good wit-bier-like blond.

BeerBiker (1412) - Odense, DENMARK - AUG 6, 2007
[Sampled in 2004.] Had some expectations to this one, but they fell all down, when I recogized some witnotes. But maybe not that bad as I mention it. Just in the middle of nowhere!

highlandlad (1375) - Blue Mountains, AUSTRALIA - NOV 14, 2005
Disappointing Belgian blond, short on character. At room temperature, it poured a cloudy pale lemon with a loose 1cm head. Indifferent head retention, no lace. Strong aroma of cloves, cinammon and burnt sugar with grass and faint bubblegum. Bit of soda-like spritz momentarily on the tongue with each mouthful but it faded quickly to a dull, undercarbonated brew. Thin in the body. Low on flavour. Predominant characteristics are carbon dioxide, watery lemon, wheat and pepper. As others observe, this is very Wit-like. (33cl bottle, IBS Perth, no visible bb date)

Marduk (1266) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - AUG 23, 2012
330ml bottle. Hazy yellow color. Gusher, but small head. Lemon, yeast, citrus, oranges in aroma. Yeast, lemon, grassy flavor. Crisp mouthfeel.

Peppery malt hop aroma. Murky yellow colour with poor head and lacing. Spicy malt hop flavour with pepper aftertaste. Flat palate.

[Bottle from Ron] Pale gold with LOTS of yeast. Peach with a strange but pleasant citric sharpness to the nose, yeasty. Light body, dry.

screwball (1098) - Motala, SWEDEN - AUG 22, 2007
Orange to golden body. White head. Aroma brings banana, yeast and a flowery feel. Flavor is citrus, some soure malt. Little thin.

   AROMA 5/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 5/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 12/20
maekchu (1090) - Hirakata, JAPAN - OCT 3, 2012
Bottle from local Sake Marche. Lots of yeast in the aroma. also slightly lemony. Cloudy dull green-tinged yellow with a big puffy head and very thick lacing. Sharp yeasty and sourish initial; mid palate goes tangy with citrus; finish is a little bitter. Medium body. A bit too heavy on the yeast -- and not terribly pleasant. Like a bitter fizzy fruit soda.
