3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 madsberg (8784) - Søborg, - MAY 5, 2004Bottled: Ruby red coloured. Yeastremnants swimming around in the glass when pouring. Beige long lasting dense head. Yeast, fruit and a heavy alcahol note in the aroma. Flavour has notes of plums and prunes and the alcahol is not too well hidden. Some notes of cocoa/chocolate. Is a little vague in the end. Easy drinkable and easy forgettable beer.

Bottle @ BeerBistro. Dark mahogany with a thin beige head. Aroma is intriguing, certainly sweet and fruity, but it took me a while to pin it down-- there is, without a doubt, a pronounced blueberry component to the aroma, along with burnt sugars and light chocolate. On the palate, toast and burnt sugar feature most prominently, with that same blueberry floral/perfumey fruit essence. Quite carbonated with a lively mouthfeel. Not sure what to make of this in the end. Unfortunately it was a terrible pairing with my pecan tart.
