A top-fermenting golden strong beer of 7.6% ABV, that is very firm-bodied, fruity-dry and assertive. It has a fine hop-aroma (dry-hopping is used) and a splendid apertif bitterness in palate and finish.

Bottle poured into Trappist glass. Hazy orange golden with a big bubbly white head. Sweet fruit, citrusy and Belgian yeast aroma. Sweet, fruity, spicy and quite boozy, a bit metallic touch, not very balanced. A bit rough texture. Overall not very good.

Bottle. Cloudy golden with a white head. Aroma of honey, flowers, citrus peels, graininess, yeast and fruitiness. Sweet honey-ish flavor with floral spiciness and fruitiness. Medium-bodied. Not my thing and not very Tripel-like.

Bottle, stable long lasting bubbly head, hazy lightish orange colour, amroma of honeycomb, yeast and dirt, flavour of candy with some fruity notes and somehoney im the back, smooth and quite light, though some alcohol intruding as the beer warms up. A bit simple but nice and easy to drink.

Drinking from a 33 cl bottle. A bitter, alcohol aroma. The clear, golden beer has a medium white head. A mainly bitter taste, not so sweet. An average triple. High carbonated.

330ml bottle bought at Belgian Beer International in Tsuen Wan.

Cloudy hazy golden orange colour with some dirt-like yeast sediments; One and a half finger head with crumpety white foams which lasts for 2 minutes; Very good sticky lacing and fizzy carbonation; Fragrant sweet aroma of malt, with strong vanilla, banana, caramel, sugar, strong Bel yeast, faint cinnamon and faint grass; Mid to light sweet taste of malt, with initial strong metallic, faint sourness, light fruity ester, light sugar, light booze, Bel yeast, lime, light bitter hops and faint grass; Medium body. Slick and quite creamy palate; Mouth feel is on-average Tripel. A good creamy body is right here, taste is adequate for something ‘big’. The fruity ester, light booze and Bel yeast are all here, but it feels bare and the taste level can’t go further. Hmm… Hoppiness is faint grass nose, lime, faint cinnamon and faint grass in taste. Bitterness is typical low for Tripel for a low sweet-bitter semi-finish; Slightly dry after taste. Easy and creamy to mouth.

Comments: As a Tripel, this one is just average. All the right attributes to be a decent brew are there, but not enough to be impressive. Like the St. Sebastiaan Golden, this brew as well as many others from Sterkens are all thunders but no rain. Oh well.

330 ml bottle. C. BB 13/11/16. From belgianbeerfactory.com.
Hazy golden colour with a small white head. Belgian yeast, rubber, caramel sweetness, malt and mild hops in the aroma. The flavour is yeast, bitterness, caramel sweetness, mild hops and malt. The alcohol is quite nicely hidden.

Molto buona. Non amara, leggermente frizzante. Sembra molto leggera nonostante i 7 gradi

Buona birra. Buona birra insomma.

Bottle. Pours nearly clear pale golden with stable white head. Clear aroma of fruit and flowers, with notes of hops. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with sourish and sweetish floral and fruity notes. Mildly bitter aftertaste. Excessively high carbonation. Drinkable but nothing special. Way too expensive: 10 euro per bottle in a supermarket in Poland!
