Two row spring barley from the south of England, a special strain of yeast, ice-age glacier water from the "Rotenburger Rinne," plus hops from the famous "Hallertau Hop Gardens" in southern Germany are the ingredients that give St. Pauli Girl Lager its unsurpassed quality and taste and keeps you coming back for more.

Bottle, poured clear, yellow and with a vast white head. Yeasty nose, some grain not a whole lot else. Taste consistent with European lagers, lots of yeast and grain flavor. It a somehow decent, crisp and easy to drink beer; but nothing great.

Its very presentation is very inviting. The German purity law assures excellent beers giving another example like this one. A blond beer with all the flavors well developed. Good foam, hop/floral aroma, bitter to the taste but not too ofensive. A big pretzel is its perfect sidekick.

Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Total Wine Sterling. It pours a light gold with a small white head. Standard euro lager nose. Light grains on the tongue with a slightly stronger than average bitterness. Pretty clean finish. Not remarkable in any way.

Good body. Light color with a scent reminiscent of Heineken all around drinkable lager

Not a proud rating, but needs to be done. Light and easy to drink lager, crisp, refreshing.

Bottle pours clear golden, frothy head dissipates in 2 minutes, no lacing. Dirty hop aroma, overly bitter but not in a pleasing way. I’ll bet the Germans ship it all over to the US and laugh about the high price they get for this swill. Old Milwaukee might be better.

Light straw color; Medium creamy body; Aroma of malt, & cereal; Flavor primarily of malt, some hops, and grain; Overall, a little bland - but not too bad.

December 2009. From bottle. Pale yellow with a white head. Malty aromas with light hops. Muted flavors and watery beer.

bottle. Pale golden with small head. This is your basic crap euro lager. Watery and without much flavor.

Nice aroma, has that German "skunk." Clear, not a whole lot of head. Great taste, i’m not one for these types of beers, but this is one of my favs. Light to drink but nice flavor.
