Two row spring barley from the south of England, a special strain of yeast, ice-age glacier water from the "Rotenburger Rinne," plus hops from the famous "Hallertau Hop Gardens" in southern Germany are the ingredients that give St. Pauli Girl Lager its unsurpassed quality and taste and keeps you coming back for more.

St. Pauli Girl blew my mind with its wonderful aroma of light hops, a slight foamy head, light pilsner appearance, a smooth taste that is a joy to drink in excess on a Saturday night with your girlfriend, fizzy palate, and overall I would buy this fine brew repeatedly for years to come.

Pours cleasr, pale gold with a tall white head. As soon as the cap comes off, so the skunk comes out....however, it dissipates upon breathing a bit. It doesnít go away, but is tolerable. Taste is bready....slightly bitter hops. Just average.......however, one must admire their marketing. The cartoon logo barmaid is only surpassed by the endless number of wonderful posters of live models.....nice.

AROMA: SKUNKY! at first but settled down a bit to a biscuity, floral, skunky smell. APPEARANCE: It poured a clear straw color with lots of rising bubbles and a rapidly dissipating white head.TASTE: I thought it was a very floral taste with a bit of a grainy finish and aftertaste. MOUTHFEEL: Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. OVERALL: On a hot day I could see where this could be enjoyed, but I probably won't buy it again. (I'd drink it again if a friend offered it to me.) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle. Clear yellow color. Bubbles on the side of the glass. Minimal white head. Good crisp and smooth not-overdone carbonation, drier finish. Very easy to drink, refreshing lager. Good bread aroma, light bit of hayish barnyardy hops. Inoffensive taste, just a very light bitterness, good sweet taste. Solid pils. Great to enjoy with mac and cheese.

(bottle from a German junk-shop, 35.5cl) Clear, pale golden colour with a blond fluffy foam. Papery and slightly sour-doughy malty aroma with notes of grassy hops. Mildly bitter and sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a modest if not flat carbonation. Strawy and doughy pale malty taste with notes of cheap and grassy hops; moderately dry and slightly bitter hoppy finish with grassy notes and a bit of cardboard. Dull. 06.VII.12

Bottle. Pours a straw color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is a bit skunky and sweet malt. Flavor is thin with a peppery finish. Average at best. Similar to Beckís with possibly a bit more body.

Nothing special but not so bad. I donít know whether to be happy or sad that this beer led to the celebrity of Pamela Anderson.
