(Bottle 35,5 cl) Clear, pilsener golden. Lovely floral hop aroma. Medium body with a clean and fairly sweet malt base. Dry bitterness but not overly hoppy. A well crafted pilsener. 220307

One of the least interesting German beers. For mass-market beer, it’s still not bad, but it’s not like its hard to find Bitburger or Wernesgruner these days.

Tap@All Bar One. Similiar to Becks. Quite clean, with some grassy hop notes and a light sweetness, and mild bitterness. A little bland though, but reasonably drinkable. There are better German Pils’ out the there.

So transparent I can hardly see it. The hop aroma is almost overpowering since it has almost no hardly malt backbone to support it. Very light in body and flavor and subsequently, not much character. For an imported German beer, it’s pretty disappointing.

On tap. To think, 20 years ago, I used to think this was the best beer on earth. My how times change. Poured a very light yellow with no head. Not much to the smell or tastes. Light hops and a little skunky. Pass…
